A typical Skaneateles School class has 80% of the class on "high honors" (94 or above average). Highly ranked colleges such as local Cornell University love to accept Skaneateles grads due to it's great reputation for solid academics and its accolades regarding preparing grads for college and the real world beyond. They teach both academics and "life skills", "positive attitude", team work, etc at this school while many schools only teach academics. (at least when I was in school in the finger lakes). They clean house in Odyssey of the Minds competitions and their sports teams are currently all excelling!! State Champs in soccer, undefeated in football, sectionals in basketball in past year.
Students at this school excel in everything. From sports to in the classroom. My child came home with an 85 on a test and said everyone was asking him 'What up' There is a lot of positive pure pressure at this school to do better and be better. I highly recommend this school district
