I wouldn't give this school even one star. Teachers are not interested in the children as individuals.

As far as academics go, I am very happy. I have friend with children who get extra help and they are also pleased. There are programs outside of standard classroom learning and my son is thriving in this enviroment. There are many many extra non-academic activities besides the typical sports and music choices and we can as as involved or univolved as we like. There are road races, talent shows, bake sales, bingo, soprts nights, concerts, poetry, and all kinds of interesting outlets for the kids. This much nicer than when I grew up.

I have two children that have attended Mt. Pleasant since kindergarten. Great school, both academically as well as providing a warm caring environment. Teachers and staff have been a pleasure. I find the teachers truly care about the kids. The new principal is great. She is a very fair person and is willing to go the extra mile to make situations right.

I see the same thing at Branch Brook. Too bad really. The Administration needs to stop cutting corners and teach values not just high grades.

I currently have 2 children at Mt. Pleasant and 1 graduated a few years ago. I feel the overally quality is very good but feel there isn't enough done for children who don't fit the square peg. At Mt. Pleasant the teachers who aren't respectful to children are not given training in how to deal with their unprofessionalism. They continue to scream at their 'behavior' problems and talking down to these children. They seem to believe they can just take the child's dignity away and the child will miraculously behave. There are just a couple of teachers like this at Mt. Pleasant and I feel this is unacceptable because every year at least 50 kids are subjected to this immature behavior by 'professionals' and every one else just sits by and allows this.
