I loved this school. I mean its a little rough around the edges but I can honestly say that it shapes its students very well and exposes them to such a wide variety of cultures that definitely makes SVHS students thrive socially from what I could see. I mean, sure our test scores aren't the highest and probably never will be. If you look at the district we are in you would honestly expect them to be even lower, so for the situation the school has been put in you HAVE TO give them props. As far as staff, I absolutely LOVED them. They honestly and truthfully care for their students. I couldn't have asked for a better school to attend my 4 years at!

I am a student graduating (class of 2006). Next year I am attending Cornell. I loved Spring Valley, the students, and the teachers. Nowhere else would I have been exposed to such diversity and quality education.

As a retired teacher & coach at SVHS I can truly say that it is a great place to get a quality education. The teaching and administrative staff are indeed student centered. Success is measured in many ways. One of which is the student appreciation and pride in their time at SVHS. Our kids take a back seat to no one!

I am a student at Spring Valley High School, and I really can't imagine going to school anywhere else. Over the years, SV has recieved an unwaranted bad rap. It is completley safe and it probably has a whole lot less drug dealings than other schools in the county. It's really a great school!
