This school is terrible. Its dirty and has old qnd dangerous furniture. The teachers do not help or teach you. The staff curses at you on a daily basis.
If you don't care about your child's academic future and have no intention of she/he have college options send them to this school. This as mostly other middle schools in the district are a disappointing failure to the students in preparing them for higher learning in the future. This is a hang out spot to continue the students on the track of underclass, the lazy principal and the teachers can be proud of that. The stats make it seem better than it is. I got a transfer so fast it wasn't funny. My child graduated with honors at a different public school, is ahead with the regents and in a top specialized HS looking at university options. We would not have achieved this if we remained at this school. Every child deserves the same opportunity and training. This has been and still is a flop at the kids' adolescent cross roads.
My daughter has received an excellent education . Great teachers and support staff. Good environment for students. Lovely after school programs.
From the top to the bottom this school is headed for self destruction. The principal walks around with his gold tooth & fancy suits and obviously shows no concern for the students and the same attitude is felt from the burned out staff. I hope the boys academy puts them out of thier misery and saves the children of this community!
This school has about 1 Excellent teacher. The others range from barely satisfactory to extremely unsatisfactory. The leadership in the teachers is extremely weak and it rubs off on the children. The school offers no honors or advanced classes. The school has only one sports team and there are very limited challenging academic rating.
I attend thisschool. I think it will change a lot in your life even if you have a small amount of distractions
this school is honestly the best school i could ever attend the principal really cares about the students and the staff work hard to ensure that the students reach their greatest potential. I would recommend this school to anyone. I loved it
my son love this school so and he like the learning this is the frist time my son ever enjoyed learing
This school is ok. i attend this school some of the teachers dont care, some do, some just like to make your life hell. what they dont undrestand is that most of us dont think were gonna be somebody.
This school is alot of fun and has many different oppurtunites avalible to us the students. This year the school seems alot better. This school ROCKS!!!
this school is cool but is old. however, the teachers really care andthe kids are....... alright. but all in all it is a good school.
I really think it is a great talented school. I believe the school is better this year of 2004-2005. They have a great art program including art, technology, chorus, band, and dance. Parent are often involved in helping in the lunchroom and going along on field trips. I.S. 59 is a good school.
I'm not a parent I'm a former student who graduated in 1999. I loved the school then and I still love it know. We were the first graduating class to have the code of uniformity established. At first we thought of it as a bad thing but then is became all good. I had an excellent education, Dr. K'Tori made sure that we all were doing our best and made us work hard. That hard work and discipline paid off. I was able to go to the high school of my choice and do what I love to do. I just want to say thanks all that staff members, teacher and especially Dr. K'Tori for doing a great job.
I like my school. At times the classes are large though. The lunch I would definetly not recommend!!! Over all My school Is nice and has lots of activities and programs you can be apart of!!!
