This small school continues to provide an outstanding educational experience for kids pre-K through 3. The caring staff give 110% each day to make every child and parent feel part of the school community. This school is the hidden gem of this district.

this is a great school. The principal makes this school a welcoming school. The woman in the office is a little out there but the rest of the staff is great. They really seem to care for all children military, civilian it does not matter. They care for them all equally. Great job to the principal

This is the smallest school my children have ever attended. The staff are very caring, nurturing and concerned for the success of each child as an individual. As a family we always feel welcomed and look forward to attending school events. It is my understanding that this school has newly welcomed a military housing area into it's school with open arms. It is obvious in all they do that it matters not whether civilian or military...a child is a child, is a child and they care!

I'm in the Military and we have put two children through this school. I have to say that it was very military friendly and the teachers and staff are wonderful. I have children in other schools in the district and Theresa Primary is the finest by far. It's a smaller school which gives each child more attention than the larger centralized schools where many kids get lost in the crowd. I am completely satisfied with this school and would recommend it to anyone.

This school is very judgemental and not military friendly. Academics, activities and PTA are all based around a civilian life style when a majority of the children are from military families. Very disappointed to say the least.

This was the first school we had the opportunity to send our daughter and it was a wonderful place for her to learn in a controlled safe enviroment. Teachers seem to really want to be there not just a job to them.

About the tests

In 2011-2012 New York used the New York State Assessments to test students in grades 3 through 8 in English language arts and math, and in grades 4 and 8 in science. The results for English language arts and math are displayed on GreatSchools profiles and the science results will be added when they are released in the Fall of 2013. The tests are standards-based, which means they measure how well students are mastering specific skills defined for each grade by the state of New York. The goal is for 90% of students to meet or exceed grade-level standards on the tests.
