Our Regents scores with masters was only 8 students in math we need to restructure and rebuild the math dept. . We have a new principal who is a great leader but the district is not listening

For the last 50 years West Hempstead High School has maintained a critical interest in each and every student. They are devoted to having every student graduate and continue on to higher education fully prepared.

the teachers are devoted to helping the kids learn. they are willing to spend extra time if needed. the sports programs are great. the students blend well with the staff. music programs, sciene, art , culinary, writing , there is such a wide variety of subjects, clubs and sports available I can not list them all. West Hempsead High School is a great place to learn and make friends.

The School offers a very good Academic program. Their is diversification and parent involvment. Exta curricular programs and community involvment are foremost.

music, arts and sports are readily availabe in west hempstead high. however the dedication of the teachers and the lack of involvement by more parents have been bringing this once great school, down.Their are more fights and lack of control in this school its unbeliveable more parents have done brought this to the attention of the tax payers in this town. There have been 3 new principals in 3 years and the kids are out of control. I have written numerous letters to the superintendent who turned a blind eye on the on going violence in WHHS.I pray daily for my daughter to graduate without being seriously hurt while attending West Hempstead High.
