This is my son's 2nd year in Lee F Jackson. Mason loves it! And I'm impressed how much he's been learning. The principal knows every kid's name and attends every PTA meeting. The teachers are caring and wonderful. The past PTA presidents and the current PTA president do their best to bring wonderful programs and field trips to benefit the student. I'm pleasantly surprised.

I grew up in White Plains and went through the school system. When I had my son and moved to Greenburgh, I was very disappointed and skeptical about having to send him to Greenburgh schools. (I too had heard mixed reviews) I can't tell you how pleased I am with his Kindergarten experience. He has an amazing teacher (3 actually) and a class of 14. He is reading and thriving and the parents are very active. His class offers a "looping" option which means he will be staying with the same teacher for 1st grade. (She is also certified as a 1st grade teacher) I think this is a wonderful idea. On the first day of school they just pick up where they left off. No awkwardness, the teacher knows their strengths and weaknesses and the students feel more confident. Again, If you are considering this school, I think you will be pleasantly surprised!

We absolutely LOVE this school. Our daughter has attended both kindergarten and first grade here. She has grown immensely. I can't say enough great things about her teachers, Mrs. Sheppard (first) and Mrs. Townsend (kindergarten). The principal cares and it is obvious. The PTA is super involved. I like that the school is only kindergarten and first grade, it makes for an easy transition from pre-k. When we moved to Greenburgh district 7, we did not hear good things about the schools. I am SO glad we gave this school a chance and did not listen to rumors about the district. I hope other parents will give the school a chance as well!

My son went to Lee F Jackson, and he enjoyed each and every day of it. Teachers are really very good at this school. Staff is really very friendly and always there for help. It was a nice breeze to see such great school.

My daughter went to Lee F Jackson, and had a fantastic year. Her teacher was impressively wonderful and the staff was so friendly and helpful. My daughter learned more than what a textbook could teach you. She learned life lessons in LFJ and anyone who is fortunate to go to LFJ.. Mom's enjoy every second of it, cause the two years go by so fast. Best wishes to all.

My son is going into 1st grade reading. His teachers were enthusiastic, organized and experienced. He loved going to school each day and we are looking forward to 1st grade!

This is a well run school. Warm, nurturing environment. Dedicated teachers and staff. Parent involvement and extracurricular activities are lacking.

My children have been extrenely blessed to have attended LFJ. My youngest son is learning what I believe is beyond what most schools offer and the teachers are not only excellent at providing the children with a quality education, but they are caring, nurturing men and women that truly want whats best for all of the children. This will be the last year for my child and truly I will miss them all. You couldn't find a better principal than Ms. McMillian and there is no better selection of teachers k-1 anywhere in the area.

Class sizes are impressive when compared to other schools in the area. My son's 1st grade class was only 14. Teacher was not well experianced. But most are very well qualified. Very caring and pleasant enviornment.

Oops! We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Public and charter school test scores for most states come from the state Department of Education. The most common reasons we might not have this data are either that not enough students took the test or that the school was recently opened, and its scores have not yet been reported.
