My daughter started pre-K last year and thanks for Mrs. O'Connor and Ms. Carmen we had the most amazing experience. Ms. Langan and all the stuff are the best ever. Thank you for making our lives happier!!!
I LOVE this school! First Principal Langan is an amazing person and a true leader! Without her, DiChiaro would not be where it is. I always tell her that she's never allowed to retire :-). The teachers are also amazing. My daughter, who is in Kindergarden, loves her teacher. My daughter has had a difficult time listening and following directions, and the teacher brought it to our attention and has worked with us in getting my daughter to behave and without her, we could not have accomplished as much as we have in the course of a few months! Thank you!
My son started Kindergarten this year at Dichiaro and loves it. There has never been a day that he has not wanted to go to school. The teachers are very supportive and caring. The principal is brillant, she is always very positive & on hand to help when needed. The school is very family oriented and every month there is something fun to do at the school!!
This school is one of the best in the Yonkers public school system; the school is small and the teachers and staff have a very caring attitude toward the students. Academically, they focus on literacy and have really fostered my son's creativity.
I absolutely LOVE DiChiaro.... My daughter has been there since Kindergarten. Ms. Langan and EVERY member of her staff has been a positive influence in my daughter's education. It is very family oriented and every month there is something fun to do at the school. THere is never a day where she does not want to go to school. What does that say????
I couldn't be happier...I love the school, Principal Langan is AMAZING, always positive and happy. The teachers are really good and sweet to the kids. Mamamia
I highly recommend this school. I have 2 children in this school and we all love it. It is a friendly, encouraging environment. The Principal is awesome, the parents are involved and the sponsored programs are great.
I recomend Dichiaro to any parent and student. I have 2 children who already attend this school fourth and second grade and my 3rd will be joining pre-k in Sept. Every teacher my child has had was amazing. The principal is very hands on, and knows all her students by name. She is always on call when you need her, and very attentive and yet very respected by all the students. The parents and PTA are very friendly, and I consider myself to be very lucky to have found a public school such as Dichiaro. Kellie Sestak
I recomend this school, one of my chilren go here[kindergarden. My older child spent 4 years here and i was totally happy he then moved to pearls, teachers were always willing to help and had excenlent teaching skills. I will send my third child here . kathy
I recommend this school all the time. My two boys go here (5th grade and 2nd grade) and if we weren't moving out of the area, my daughter would be going there in the fall. Even though Yonkers doesn't have neighborhood schools, DiChiaro has a neighborhood feel. Parents are involved and the teachers and staff know every student & parent. My kids take the bus and I don't get to as many PTA meetings as I would like due to scheduling conflicts and everyone at the school still knows me by name. Teachers are extremely patient and kind but will be tough when necessary (which I personally think is a good thing). It's too bad it only goes to 5th grade! We had a great experience there.
