Yes! It is a wonderful school! Our Principal Julie Shields, and our Assistant Principal Cynthia Riddick are the best! We also have the best staff and students.

Bearfield Primary is a great school. It fosters the whole child and it welcomes parental involvement. The teachers are highly qualified. Students are exposed to art, music, media, and physical education daily.

Bearfield is a Pre-K to 3 school. I feel the academic programs are very good. They are able to provide each child with the level of academics needed. For example, my child is in advanced level classes and I feel is challenged . Yet she has children in her class who have learning disabilities and they are helped as well. They have the BEST reading program in the BEARS/Cubs program. It is a leveled reading program provided in small groups. Each child is in a group of 6-8 children of their own reading level and they get individual attention. Our reading levels have soared under this program. The children are re evaluated after 6 weeks and are placed in another group according to their growth and reading level. The Parent Team is very active and is supported by both staff and admin. Parent are truely part of the BPS family.

This is the cleanest school in the county and the leadership is great. Mrs. Shields is the best principal in the county by far.
