We love TLC. It is absolutely a dream come true for us, in every way. The combination of outdoor education, opened hearted mediation training, and stimulating academics creates the perfect environment for our daughter.
Greatest School in the Asheville area!!! Stellar academics in such a nurturing environment. TLC also has so much to offer beyond their stellar academics; outdoor education, the arts, service learning, organic gardening, and the fabulous all school musical.
TLC offers a balanced approach that adapts to all styles of learning, setting the foundation for a positive self esteem and an enduring passion for learning. The diversity in the curriculum allows students to experience all possible outlets for their creativity, which consistently stimulates their intellectual growth and achievement. After just 1 year at this amazing school I can honestly say it has been one the best decisions we have made for our family. To see your child flourish in such a unique setting is truly an amazing experience!
Outstanding academics in combination with outdoor education, performing arts, TEAM, and parent involvement... all located on a beautiful campus!
A wonderful gem in a beautiful location. Lots of hands-on learning and a very positive, nurturing environment. The teachers are first-rate and our 2 elementary-aged children love to go to school every day! Very open community with core values- T.E.A.M. is incorporated into everything they do. Not only top-notch core academics but a variety of extras-- outdoor education, tai chi, PE, Spanish, OM, and of course the spring musical involving all the children. There is great respect among the staff and students. A definite 5 star school.
Amazing school - rigorous academics combined with experiential learning and a focus on relationships, community membership and responsibility. Parent involvement is required and adds so much. The all school musical each year is so well integrated into all the school does and our child knows he is a part of something more than himself. The school is very small (60 students K-8) allowing for small classrooms, individualized attention, community focus. We love this school and our child is thriving. We feel so lucky to have our child here.
Great school! We love it for both our kids!!
My child has been at TLC for 4 years and has had an amazing experience. Their individualized programs they create for you child's academic achievements and T.E.A.M. social building activities really make a great all around education environment for any child. What a great community of parents as well, it is nice to know all of the parents of your childs class! The annual musical makes it an arts rich experience too!
TEAM, hands-on education, service learning, advanced academics, outdoor education, camping, canoeing, rock climbing, athletics, theater, science inquiry, reader's and writer's workshop, science fair, and more!
