I am so happy to have my children in this school. The teachers are incredible, and the staff works together as a team to provide all children with a positive learning environment. The principal even greets each student by name each morning at the main entrance! It's a small school in an isolated area, but it offers a quality education. Students consistently perform well on state tests. (Check out ncreportcard.org to see for yourself.) My husband and I are amazed at what our children are learning, and my children love school! What more could I want?
This is the best elementary school I have ever been involved with. The collaboration and dedication to learning make this staff a perfect example of what an exemplary elementary school should be. The students are getting a "private" education at a public school price!
Teachers and administration at this school are tops in technology and are using research-based teaching methods. They are driven to improve student learning as well as being caring individuals. The mission and goals are met with a collaborative effort. I would recommend this school to any parent looking for a school that sees the whole child.
I think this school should be a little more open to change. They are too "relaxed" in their old methods & don't want to make the proper revisions to better not just themselves, but total involvement as a whole. They are behind with their teaching methods & kids are far behind on the normal level of education. I believe some of instructors are genuinely concerned for the students as a whole but there are others who just shouldn't be working with kids at all. I'm hoping my kids experience in school here will benefit them overall and not harm them.
