We have two children attending Elementary School at FACS. We LOVE it! It has been a wonderful experience for both of our kids. Our first child attended public school for the first two years with a very below average experience to say the least. We feel this has been his best school year yet!! There are not enough good things to say about the students and staff at FACS!! The academics are very challenging with many extracurricular opportunities being offered. Our children's teachers are exceptional and truly care for the students. If you want a top notched education, choose FACS!!

FACS High School offers traditional high school activities and sports as well as academics in a more controlled environment than traditional schools. The staff is very helpful and willing to work with students who demonstrate an interest in a course not offered at the school in a traditional fashion. They offer many honors and AP options as well. Impressed!

You are better off sending your kids to public school. Poor administration, poor communication. This schools cares about one thing only....your check each month. Financial aid may or may not be available. And if it is count on about a 10% reduction. For the cost of tuition, you get an average education comparable to public school. They need to take the word Christian off of the building. Very high turn over rate for teachers.

My son Keith Durham learned the best study skills from this school. Ms.Hollingsworth is still a name my son pulls out for his favorite teacher. 16yr old Keith is a better student and person because of his time at your school!

A complete waste of money. The administration and faculty in the middle school are below average and the teachers do not care if the students pass or fail. Not my idea of a Christian school. Complete dissapointment. Can't wait to get my kids out.

I have 2 daughters at FACS and the love it. The teachers go above to make sure they grasp the material they are teaching. After school also works with the kids to make sure they have study time and complete their homework. Summer Program is wonderful!! If you can afford it, I highly recommend it. The Bible is taught and used as guide line for life. Public schools are doing thier best to push God out of school. We have to fight back any way we can.

FACS is under new leadership that has really turned this place around! The previous reviews show some issues that all schools face. What amazes me is that the school teaches and offers my child a great education even when they only operate on 4500 per child. The state gets over 7000 in the public schools plus. FACS is a great place for those who have a conviction for Christian Education and can sacrifice financially to have their most precisous possessions enrolled there. God bless em!

My chid has attended First Assembly Christian School for over nine years. I have been well pleased with his education. The teachers are wonderful Christians and very supportive of each student. The financial sacrifice that I make for my child's education is more than worth it. I feel that he will leave First Assembly Christian School well equipped for the future.

We have 3 children attending FACS and are very pleased with the school! Our kids love it too! The teachers genuinely love and challenge them to be their best. The administration is doing a great job in steering the school and continually making it even better! We are so thankful for the safe, Christian atmosphere which FACS provides for our kids!

I have two children attending the school and we love it! The middle school and high school have been great for both of them. The administration is fair and just in dealing with each situation. They have a great athletic program and the coaches and teachers have a genuine love for the students.

I thank God everyday for my children attending First Assembly. I have 2 students and are very pleased with the teachers and faculty. I was very pleased when First Assembly implemented a security feature for students in which any Elementary Student or Middle School Student can only be picked up by authorized persons showing proper identification. The faculty goes the extra mile to help in any way they can. My children are learning in a healthy, safe environment with people who care.

I have a junior in HS and 3rd grader. Both have attended since K4. I am very pleased with their teachers and the level of their education. From my experiences at First Assembly, the teachers are well-qualified and geniune care about the students. Teaching them academically and also striving to instill in them the Word of God and driving them to make good decisions in life, with school and relationships. The leadership is supportive and has proven to stay on top of discipline with students and not tolerating continuous disobedience. This is the first school I have heard of where the Headmaster has devotions and prays for the students over the school intercom. I would definitely recommend First Assembly Christian School.

I have two children at FACS. I thank God everyday for letting us find this wonderful school. My children get alot of attention from their teachers, being that the class size is small. They are very prepared for tests. And are doing much better in their academics. Highly recommend this school. very sincere staff and administration!

No discipline at all. High schoolers can say whatever they want and get away with it. Teachers don't have degrees in education. Basically, anybody with a 4 year degree in anything can teach at this school. I thought we were paying for something special? Biggest problem is the cirriculum and academics. Teachers are very lenient with grades. Kids and parents can 'talk' to teachers and have grades adjusted. Trust me, I've done it many times! And when I'm in the classroom helping, the students are just horribly out of control. Speaking to teachers and faculty like dogs.

The school has very poor security features. People come and come without any protection for the children at all. There is no discipline due to the chatting of the teachers before and after school.

I was very unhappy with the lack of support for my child who has special needs. His 5K class had 19 compared to his public school now of 24----not that much different. I too agree with the feburary 20th review 100%. We have since left after only one year and now are making wonderful strides in pubilc school!

Small class size, caring teachers, high parent involvement, great after school and summer program. Wonder Christian environment. Curriculum is excellent. Starting at 4K the children can and do learn to read. Its wonderful at First Assembly Christian School.

I pulled my children from the local public schools because I felt like all the public schools taught were to pass the end of grade tests. I want my children to get a classical education that is well-rounded. First Assembly offers this. We have been happy and do not regret our decisions. It is a best kept secret in Cabarrus Couny.

My children received their entire education at FACS. One is now a freshman in college, on the Dean's list, in the honors program and was educationallly well prepared for college. I have one about to enter a hard-to-get-into-college and I feel this child is also well prepared. FACS is not the perfect school---perfect does not exist! My chldren were exposed to all sorts of classmates, not just well-behaved Christians. They learned to make good choices in a controlled environment and I feel are well prepared for 'The Real World.' As far as folks who complain about tuition---FACS does not receive the federal funding that public schools do. The cost of books, electricity, cleaning supplies---everything that a school has to purchase, keeps going up; therefore tuition must rise also. The new high school principal is loving, dedicated and just plain wonderful! Dollar for dollar I think FACS is the best school around.

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.
