The academics are great! Even in the regular (not honors or AP) classes you learn so much! I was put in regular civics by mistake and passed the EOC in the 98th percentile. It wasn't a hard class, but the teacher made learning the material interesting. My biggest complaint right now is the choral program. After the original chorus teacher left, We have had two different chorus teachers and have had very inconsistent choral events. There have been no competitions since I've been here and the school musical had to be cancelled this year because the choral director was unable to teach the chorus the music in time for opening night. Overall, the school is very good. It is a little cliquey, but the cliques intermingle and are polite to each other for the most part.

My disappointment with Forestview is increasing, frankly, I am glad my youngest daughter will graduate this year. She had a math teacher who recommended students drop her course (in the first week) if they were struggling "because the pace would only increase" - no effort to coach or TEACH. She seemed interested only in her own success rating. Last year, a teacher refused to meet to discuss my daughters progress, telling me to go to her website if my daughter required practice work. Only a small core group of parents are engaged to support students/extracurricular activities. The principal now requires all evening programs to start at 6PM, difficult if you are a parent that works in Charlotte. School facilities are wonderful.

Had a great experience while my kids were enrolled there. Staff was attentive and helpful. My children were provided a well rounded education that is serving them well at Unc and Wake. Would do it again with my youngest if had not moved

Great school! Could be stricter on the students, but overall a great school.

I graduated from there in 2003. The band was awesome and it gave me sort of a free pass from any of the clique problems. The band was awesome then, but I hear they have a new director now and I don't know how good he is. The counselors weren't helpful at all, in fact they lost my entire file at least 4 times and always screwed up my registration (even though I was in AP stuff) so every year I ended up having to redo it, or end up taking the wrong classes, etc. The school was really pretty when I went there, and now that they have the stadium stuff all finished (now that I'm gone) it looks even better. But some students and teachers can be clique-y. Most in the AP/Honors ring are great teachers though, and the ones that aren't good students could just ignore usually.

I absolutely love this school. I have enjoyed being the parent of a highly successful daughter that goes there. The academics are excellent and the band, sports and other activities are amazing. The parents are very involved although the counselors could use a little improvement. I don't see how anyone could hate this school. I definitely think its the best high school in gaston county.

I will never use this school again. The summer school prgram is far less then anything I have ever seen in any state. They do not return phone calls from parents.

The School is Great School but the counselors dont have time for the kids or parents. The music and band programs are awesome! The Teachers are nice and most of the time they make time for there Students. I know in my 3yrs so far there i have not run into a problem with teachers not having time to help. I would really like to see more improvement in the school spirit. Forestview lacks it. I would recommend this school to other people.

This school was horrible. Teachers could care less about the students, They have no time for anyone. The only good thing about this school is it is new and really nice on the inside. I would recommend for anyone to transfer to another school if at all possible!

it's a very good school. my child was lucky enough to get into the school early in it's making. She will be the 5th graduating class. The Guidance counselors are horrible. They have no time for the students or the parents. The security is good, teachers are kind, but some of the teachers need to pay more attention to their students needs and to their jobs. overall it's a good school, I prefer it over the other high schools in our area any day. A rating of '10'.
