Profile Completeness

INTERMEDIATE

Want to improve this school’s profile? You can!

All schools on GreatSchools begin with BASIC completeness, which includes important information like contact details and test scores. It’s up to the school community to take the next steps. As a parent or community member, you can share what you know with other families by writing a review or answering a few questions about what the school offers. As a school leader, you can upload photos, describe school programs, and more with an Official school profile.

The completeness meter moves to INTERMEDIATE, then ADVANCED, and finally HONOR ROLL as you complete the following: 10 or more reviews, at least 1 photo, and 9 program questions parents find helpful.

I disagree with all the negative reviews of this school. My kids love it! The teachers are great. My son, a freshman, even wrote a paper for his english class about how much he loved it. The principal is second to none on her involvement.

I have a daughter that Graduated from East High, and a Son that is now a Freshmen at East Forsyth High. For the most part I have been very disappointed with WSFCS including East Forsyth. Kernersville Elementary was probably the only School my kids enjoyed. Theysay their is no tolerance for bullying, not true!! East Forsyth is loaded with drugs! The parents are always wrong, and if you upset them and step on their toes you may have ss at your door. They have caused a lot of turmoil in my Sons life. WSFCS needs a makeover!

At this point I'm not very pleased with the school myself. My daughter is a freshman and has started being bullied already. I've already been in the vice principal's office with her once and she's been in the guidance office again on her own. At this point she already doesn't want to get up and go to school and her year had started off so well up until now. She's in the drama club and in an upcoming play and very excited about that but the bullying is overriding any of that excitement. At this time they're only talking to her and not any of the kids that are doing the actual bullying, which I personally think is wrong. If something isn't done very soon I will be back in there again myself probably threatening legal action!!! There's supposed to be a NO tolerance for bullying at all schools now so I don't understand why they're not speaking with anyone else involved.

I have a son at East he is a honor roll student. East has drug bust and fights on regular basis which is reported through emails from principle. This school is already over crowded and they let kids out of district transfer in a school that is busting at the seems. If you didn't attend the feeder middle schools then you want have the same chances in playing sports. East is very political in sports!

I am a sophomore at East Forsyth right now and I absolutely love the school. The teachers are wonderful and they always take the time to help you if you ask. They really take the time to develop personal connections and genuinely care about their students. Our principal is friendly and always takes the time to attend sporting events after school. She is also in touch with the needs of the school and the students. There is a huge array of extracurricular activities at our school. There is a club for just about every interest imaginable and several sports teams. I feel very safe at East Forsyth; there are very few fights. I think East Forsyth is the best school in the school system, and you could not convince me to attend another school. I absolutely love it.

I attend east forsyth right now as a junior. The teachers here are real supportive and are not dictators like most schools. Here at east teachers are your teachers but they also become your friends. The teachers are people you can talk to about almost anything. The activities and student enviroment is very positive and comfortable. I love it at east and im glad to be able to graduate from here now. We have hardly no fights at all. Thats why the police are here. They keep it straight.

Poor principal leadership ( I don't think she is qualified. It's just my opinion ). Poor discipline makes me feel unsafety.

I moved from Michigan and I just graduated with full honors and everything. The teachers are great, I'll give them that, but the discipline in that school is horrible. And being from up North we never had cops watch us while we ate or watch us while we walked to our classes. I know it was for our safety any everything but I felt like I was in a prison instead of a school.

I am a current student at east and I would say that the environment at the school is great. I came into the school knowing very few people and now I'm good friends with many. The people are very friendly and the teachers are wonderful. They are really committed to giving their students the best education possible. Go east!

I graduated from East Forsyth in 2003, and I feel as though I had a great experience there. Regarding the critical review posted previously, I never knew any of the teachers at East to be close-minded or unfriendly, everyone was welcome. Some of my best teachers were at East and they were committed to providing any extra help after school to those that needed it. I am proud to be an alumni and I believe it's a great school.

I am a former student at east forsyth,i absolutly love it. I wake up everyday, an I am ready to go to school.East forsyth has quality teachers and staff. The teachers at this school are very active with my other classmates an I. My teachers are wonderful, and they help me with anything needed. They take the time to work with me and i think very highly of them for it. I have read what the parent had said also an thought I would say something about it. I don't know where she gathered her information but she is so wrong bout east. Students at East are very friendly and giving. They take time to get to know you. East is located in a small town and that don't relate to anything about how east forsyth high school enviroment is. Get your facts straight. Go eagles!

I have read what one parent has written and have decided to put in my two cents. I attended East from the fall of 1998 thru the spring of 2002. I felt that east was the best school around. If I see teachers around town they still ask how I am and what i'm up to. East Forsyth has quality teachers and staff. I feel sorry for that person's child because they seemed to not take advantage of all that East had to offer. East was a great school and I'm proud to be an Alumni! GO EAGLES!

The teachers at this school are not interactive with the students. They don't encourage students to get to know one another or for them to be friendly towards new classmates. I know since this is a small town people have known each other for a long time but I feel that they should be more open-minded about new people that come into that school. I consider this school one of the worst schools in the county! I would appreciate if the teachers and students would be more interactive and open- minded.
