i'm in 7th grade and currently go to Mount Mourne IB. what used to be an elementary school, was changed into an IB middle school. IB stands for international bacheloriette and all of the classes are advanced, and we have more extra curricular classes than most schools. i have gone here ever since it changed to a middle school in 2009 and i have to say that it is absolutely outstanding. the teachers care and make sure that every student understands material and if not, they will provide one-on-one after school tutoring. the kids at the school are great as well, everyone is respectful to teachers, and there has never been any fights. although the homework is hard, the teachers apply the things you are learning to things that happen in the outside world. every week we have a disscussion about something that has happened in the world and how it relates to what we are currently learning. i think that it's an amazing school with high expectations and a good enviroment. i definately recommend this school to anyone who wants the highest learning and wants to get into a great college.
This school is in a state of transition that is not going smoothly. It is not easy to get a good teacher in several grade levels. Morale is questionable. Good computer teacher, Music teacher and counselor.
