I highly recommend this school. The teachers and staff are amazing. They go the extra mile and then some. The solid Chrisitan education is superb. We've been at several schools and this school is a jewel!
My children have attended Gramercy for two years now and we could not be more pleased. They are being challenged spiritually, academically, physically and emotionally and are growing exponentially in the Gramercy environment. The staff and teachers are dedicated and pleasant and there are ample opportunities for parent involvement. I would highly recommend Gramercy for any parent serious about providing their children with a Christian education.
My daughter attended for a little over three years. Teacher in third grade was absolutely horrible to our daughter and loved to humiliate her for her health problems. Headmaster is completely oblivious to the faults of her staff and even makes up excuses for the behavior. Also my kindergartner attended for 4 yr old kindergarten and 2 months of k-5 and got so behind that we have had to hire a tutor to help catch her up. Do not waste your money. Christian attitude is not displayed at this school. We now love the public schools and regret not starting our daughters there in the beginning.
Teachers are completely unapproachable and judgmental. I would never place another child at this school. My child was behind once moved to a public school and took a whole year to catch up in math. My child is still behind in English after attending Gramercy. I do not believe they are on the same academic playing field as other schools in the area. We were absolutely shock at how far behind our 6th grader was. Thankfully some great teachers at the public school have worked with our child to get him caught up. We have experienced more of a Christian attitude at the public school than we ever did at Gramercy. A complete waste of money. For those parents are looking for a college prep private school, this is not a college prep school.
This is a wonderful, loving christian school. The academics are good but could be more challenging for the academically gifted child. This is a place where kids will experience the love of Christ while in a positive environment.
I am pleased to say that my youngest child just graduated from this fine school. He has attended Gramercy since the 8th grade. The staff are wonderful, loving, and caring. Students love being in small settings where they are able to learn better and have a better relationship with their teachers. Being the small school that it is, there isn't the extracurricular activities that a bigger school would have but the sports program is awesome! There is a great girls volleyball team, basketball team (both girls and boys, jr varsity and varisity) and soccer teams (for both boys and girls. Gramercy is just the best place to have any child attend from kindergarten all the way to Graduation. It gets my vote, hands down. No comparison!
I am the happy parent of a first grader. She is enjoying a wide variety of activities each day. She is learning a great deal from her teacher, Mrs.Deeter.
