Profile Completeness

INTERMEDIATE

Want to improve this school’s profile? You can!

All schools on GreatSchools begin with BASIC completeness, which includes important information like contact details and test scores. It’s up to the school community to take the next steps. As a parent or community member, you can share what you know with other families by writing a review or answering a few questions about what the school offers. As a school leader, you can upload photos, describe school programs, and more with an Official school profile.

The completeness meter moves to INTERMEDIATE, then ADVANCED, and finally HONOR ROLL as you complete the following: 10 or more reviews, at least 1 photo, and 9 program questions parents find helpful.

Terrible, terrible, terrible place. Some of the worst excuses for a Christian school. The students aren't accepting if you don't conform, and the teachers are of no help if you go to them with a problem. Don't even get me started on the ridiculous rules. They'll go ballistic if they see you holding hands with someone of the opposite gender under any circumstances.

I would love to give this school a exellent review but I must be honest. All schools will have their "clicks" and all schools have their bullys. In my opinion its how the staff handles them that makes it worth mentioning. And mostly it, for me, was handled much better then public schools. As far as the academics it is not any different if not lessend then public schools. I had heard the all growing up there that the academics were way more advanced then public schools, not true. When I married I was strongly impressed with how much more advanced my spouses knowledge base is. Not to mention the amount of different electives offered at public schools. Also the school punishment for students is often times based on who the student is and who their parents are. The school, I felt, pushed the dress code a little silly. I strongly agree with skirts being to the kee and shirts covering what they are ment to cover. But the school at that time did not allow any writing on the shirts. Why? Im not sure. And girls were not allowed to wear flip flops. Why Well then I was told because guys find girls heels sexy. But if your child wants to be in the ministry I feel this is the school for them.

I am so glad that my Dad And Mom sacrificed for me to go to Gospel Light Christian School. I had a hard time making good grades. The Teachers were the best anywhere around and still are. It is a tremendous School if you really want you children to learn and not just get passed then I highly recommend Gospel Light Christian School.Home Of The Lions. I was in the second Graduating Class of 1978. They have standards to help children turn out right .

I went to this school for one year.. and it was okay but overall not a good experience. Sadly there is a lot of hypocrisy among students, as well as clicks. I also didn't feel like the academics were very good. Overall It was okay-- but I would definitely not recommend it!

I went to GLCS for 9 years. Nothing changed. Students swear, they tease other students very harshly. The few things that are absent are drugs and physical sex. Other than that, it is mostly a public school. I would not recommend such a horrid school.

I was a student at GLCS for a few years. I did graduate from there, but in all honesty, I did not like the school. They try to push beleifs on you that THEY want you to have. I would not send my child to this school, ever. The teachers were very cold hearted and my fellow students were very cliquie. If you did not belong to one of the cliques, then you might as well be a bug on the street. Money, and clothes, that is what it takes to get into a clique here! Overall rating of this school, POOR!

My child currently attends GLCS. As a high school student they really enjoy taking classes outside of the norm...the new Photoshop class is great! I also find that their is a strong spiritual emphasis. Both the teachers and other students seem to be very accepting!

I attended GLCS for 5 years. I loved the school very much. The teachers were great. I would send my kids to the school if I lived in the area. I highly recommend this school!

I was a student at Gospel Light for 12 years. I was well-equipped for my college courses in fine arts and English especially. The love of the students and desire to see us succeed lit a passion inside me to go above and beyond their expectations and mine. I graduated with a Bachelor of Science from an accredited college and have been successful in my ministry for several years now - Praise the Lord and thank you, GLCS!

Excellent Christian school. Students receive a quality education. The computer courses have prepared some students to skip many college level computer courses and move on to more advanced levels. Computer courses have also prepared many students for the business world. Unfortunately, many students and parents do not take advantage of the computer courses available.

Great school for elementary grades. High school needs better qualified teachers. Not enough computer courses available. Electives should be expanded to include more computer and arts. Many students are not properly prepared for meeting the qualifications for college or jobs.
