I have three daughters, so the chances of getting three great teachers is pretty slim. This is the third year in a row that I couldnt be more pleased with their assignment to teachers. They interact with each child as an individual, can challenge without setting the bar too high, and the love that they put into their work shines through in every single child I meet. THe principal is fantastic, I am always greeted with a smile, and he too strives to inspire the children to be a better person. I've never seen a school more concerned with learning progress, grade promotion, giving the kids every tool they can to acheive success.

We moved here in 2007, I have 3 daughters that attend PreK 1st and 2nd. The teachers are INCREDIBLE, by far the most loving and devoted faculty at all levels that we have encountered. The reporting and parent involvement is top notch. Even thought the building is old, what goes on inside is ahead of the pack.

I am very dissatisfied with this school so far. The teacher my son has had this year has been horrible. Her mannerism with the children and singling one out has not only added stress to my son but me as well. I do not feel the school involves parents enough, especially concerning the trips off grounds. I am thoroughly disgusted with their lack of phonics training. We are new to this area by 6 months so I am not very familiar with all the academic programs. My son did enjoy his remedial reading class after school. They are in need of more computers for their after school program/club. None of the teachers next year come highly recommended.

My son attends Oakwood and he's in the first grade now. I've noticed that his confidence has been tarnished a bit because of school work.As a mother this is very upsetting to me.I always tell him to try his very best at everything that he does, but the level of curriculum that's expected of not just advanced kids, but every kid is discouraging and scrary.Every child will not learn at the same rate and I think the school board overlooks this fact when making decisions. We've been blessed so far with dedicated teachers. The ones that will go that extra mile if needed,so Thank You to those teachers you know who you are.
