Bowling Green High School, like any public school, has a great deal of variability in the quality of the teachers. Teachers range from very poor to excellent. Sometimes parents can select the better or best teacher for a course (leaving for example 7 students in a section of a class with a poor teacher). Sometimes though there is only one teacher, who is not very gifted in teaching, for a course and a parent or student cannot bypass that teacher. That leaves the student at a huge disadvantage for higher level courses or college courses in that subject. Administrators and guidance counselors currently are more than willing to work with and help students and parents.

Best, by far, high school band in the area, caring teachers who care about their students, good administrators who care about their teachers.

While attending Bowling Green High School, I received a wonderful education. Yet, I found that more teachers were there to coach then to teach. I also felt that there were not enough well-supported sports for females.

There are many wonderful teachers in BGHS but there are a few who seem to think their job is something other than teaching and don't give the help needed. Overall it is a pretty good school. Sports for females is not what it should be, for the size of the school. For the size of BG there should be alot; more Scholarships given to students that really need them in order to further their education but they seem to go to those that don't really need them.
