Most teachers at this school are very nice and care about the students as if they were their own. Ms. Kincaid, Mrs. Frazier, Mr. Detty, Ms. Seidel and Mr. Savage are some of the best teacher's I have ever seen. However one of the fourth grade teachers is very hard on the students and yells A LOT. She has a very short fuse when it comes to her students. I have had more than one of my children in this teacher's classroom and both were wonderful students who loved school but this teacher made my children dislike school very much. I would recomend this school if your child has very thick skin. At this school the children switch classes with the other class in the same grade for 4th and 5th grade. So requesting a teacher doesn't really do any good if your child is in 4th or 5th grade.

My daughter has done so well in this school. They have her at the highest levels in Math and Reading in her class. Parents are encouraged to get involved with their kids' class and they are greatly encouraged to get involved with the school. Each week the kids participate in music, gym, and art. They have seperate teachers for these classes, so it is not just their own teacher trying to supplement their own class with these activities. If there is a problem your child is having, the teachers welcome you into their classrooom for confrences and to problems solve what can be done to help your child. Tiffin has won an Award of Excellence from the Department of Education and they have most certainly earned it.
