They've only gotten worse since i left earlier this year. They are far to controlling they truly don't care about any of the students. The kids in sports may have it easier than others there but one thing they don't have is life experience by getting treated special they don't learn how hard life is and by not having that they get hurt more in the end they wont make it in RL where they have to deal with people who wont give them handouts but none the less; Don't send your kids to this school!!!!!

I know exactly what you mean by ill behaved children at the school. seems like if your child is not on sports there they are a no one. bulling is not adressed fully either. we have had numerous problems and considering private school or another school district

I have been a southeastern parent for alot of years. My son started kindergarten at Southeastern and Graduated in 2006. I also have two 9th graders and an 8th grader now. I think the teaching staff is great. There are a few bad ones but the good greatly out number them. If you are a caring parent and show it they will help you with anything you need. I have never seen ill-behaved kids. I plan to have all my kids graudate from Southeasten. They have wonderful caring teachers and staff. I had teachers offer to stay after school to tutor one of my children who had a D and now carries A's & B's. They will work as hard as you do and contact you by phone, emails or letters and stay in contact as long as you do. Southeastern is a great school.

There are plenty of extracurriculars available, and quite a bit of parental involvement, which the school encourages; however, the learning environment leaves much to be desired. The children are ill-behaved, and lying gives you a free pass. Some teachers don't seem to have time to help students who have questions, going so far as yelling at students who have them. The school has the tendency to place anyone with whom they don't want to deal in 'special' classes, instead of trying to teach them, no matter the smartness of the student. I have had other parents speak with me about the latter, so I know I'm not alone.
