I am a mother who is not from this area and moved here 5 years ago from West Virginia. The difference in the two are like night and day. I feel sorry for the children. They do not have the resources that other children are involved with to enhance their learning. They are expected to learn in a school with no air conditioning and windows that dont open on 95 degree summer days and the heating is not much better. My sisters children do so many more activities with their school and are not ask to pay for them it is provided for them by the school.

Hannibal Elem. itself is an excellent school. The teachers need to be a little more interested in the children, but it is the district that needs to step up and assist the children as well as the teachers. Especially the ones that have difficulties whether diagnosed or just needing help in certain areas. I would not have my children in any other school than Hannibal Elem. I also believe the secretary is truely awesome.

The only good thing at the school is receptionist/secretary. She is very nice and will try to help in any way.

I had a kindergartener and a fourth grader enrolled at Hannibal Elem. The kids loved the school and thier teachers. My fourth grader went from getting D`s and F`s to getting A,B, and C`s. The teachers work hard to educate the children and involve the parents in the process as well. If is was not for transportation issues my kids would still be at Hannibal. This is a great school.

Hannibal Elementary is one of the best elementary schools in the district. If you don't like the way the teachers and principal are then take your child elsewhere. If more parents would be involved with their child's education it would benefit all. Most parents make excuses for their children- they do no wrong.I would not ever want to walk one step in a principal's shoes- it's one of the hardest jobs in education. Every parent should have to spend one day in the classroom...it's no picnic.

Principal of the school is biased against single mothers and their children. Several incidents have occured with several different children that confirms this. The teachers are old and they do not care about the students themselves. The teachers of the lower grades do have the concern and care for the childrens education while the teachers of the upper grades don't take the time and are only interested in a paycheck.
