AS I DC parent and follower of Chirst I would hope that no one bases what kind of person I am now according to how I behaved or what I did 23 years ago. As Chirstians we all strive to become who Chirst wants us to be and to grow in Him. I believe DC is a great learning institution and is growing and changing, as should we, all the time. I am a full supporter of Christian education. DC is preparing students for eternity!

I am a 1984 graduate of DCHS. The poor education I received has been a weight ever since graduation, as it has been for many other of my fellow graduates. DCHS was certainly a "loving" place to attend school, but the educational quality was pathetic, particualry in mathematics. The school was so interdenominational that the teachers could not really teach anything of depth. And DCS was always in some financial crisis, changing from one "God-vision" to another, year after year. Our parents sacrificed much to gain so little.

Dayton Christian is the only school in the area offering a true Christian education and worldview along with excellent academics. We have been part of the DC family since 1998 and would never think of sending our children to another school. We are part of a close group of families, student, and faculty that cannot be replaced. Really, Christian parents, why would you send your children anywhere else?

My four children graduated from Dayton Christian High School and they received a quality education from dedicated and well-qualified teachers. Dayton Christian High School offers a well-rounded program of academics, athletics, and fine arts as well as opportunities for students to be involved in community service and mission trips.

We home schooled our daughters through the Dayton Christian Homeschool program from K-8 and then entered them into the Dayton Christian High School from which they graduated. The DC Homeschool program was the perfect blend of accountability, freedom, and support, and I can't even begin to tell how much our daughters loved the high school. We did not enter DCHS expecting it to be perfect; it is full of people and therefore can't be. What we found was an environment where students of all races and backgrounds were welcomed and where students received a great education from a Christian worldview. (My eldest has been in college a few years and has often stated how thankful she is for the teaching she received at DCHS and that she felt fully prepared for college.) Even more, we found that the teachers and staff REALLY cared about the students: physically, emotionally, intellectually, and spiritually. We thank God often for allowing us to be a part of the DCSS.

The academics of this school did not prepare our son in any way for college. The sports and extra curricular activities only allow the so-called smart and super hyper spiritual kids to participate. Teachers and staff allow students who are behind to be made fun of and put down by other students. We pulled the rest of kids out of DC and they are thriving in Centerville schools.

Dayton Christian is a wonderful alternative to the local secular schools within the Dayton area. Dayton Christian seeks to achieve academic excellence while providing students the opportunity to expand their personal relationship with God. The athletic programs are very good providing the boys and girls at all levels to participate. The music program provides students the opportunity to grow their musical talents as well.

A Great school K-12!!! Close knit school family, safe environment for learning, high achievers as well as those in middle of the pack and those with learning difficulties. Love of teachers for your students is overwhelming!!! Educating students as well as parents for Eternity. Wouldn't have had my kids any where else! Almost 50 years of excellence in the Dayton area.

I have worked for Dayton Christian for over five years and have seen my share of ups and downs. While no school is perfect, I believe that Dayton Christian is doing a lot of things incredibly well. The new administration is committed to making DC a center of excellence in the community. They are investing in our school to promote growth and bolster both the academic and extracurricular opportunities.

DC is a great fit for our family. The school balances excellent education, school policy, and a Biblical world view. My kids enjoy going to school here and have all had wonderful and involved teachers. Please don't let a few negative experiences from others discourage you from exploring DC as an option for your childrens' education.
