The school has an amazing community of active parents and teachers working together to provide quality education for students from 3 years of age through 8th grade.

John XXIII provides students w/ top notch education! The teachers provide students individual attention and know their students strengths and need for improvement. Teachers are willing to work w/ the student and the family, and are available to parents. John XXIII provides students w/ a well rounded education, including basic skills, art, religion, music, gym, computer, Spanish, etc. I could not imagine my children going to any other school.

I have two children at John XXIII, and have become increasingly impressed with the quality of the school. The academics are strong, with above average Terra Nova test scores (in the 70-80th percentiles for most grades)and a commitment from the present leadership to expand advanced classes (currently advanced math for grades 6-8) and the incorporation of foreign languages into all grades. Extracurricular activities include sports, chess club (high partcipation), civic and service organizations and an exceptional program known as 'Falcon Philosophers' which is organized by highly energetic parent volunteers to expand on traditional academics. As non-Catholics, we are welcomed and included in all aspects of the education--and as parents, we appreciate the emphasis on values and compassion for others. The Principal is very approachable and reaches out to parents through quarterly 'Breakfast with the Principal'. Overall, the quality of the school is excellent and good value for tuition dollars.

Our two youngest children attend John XXIII and we are delighted with their teachers and learning environment. Our older son attended a different school known for its academic excellence, however, we have found the structure and consistency of John XXIII to far out-rank the other's promises and high tuition. Highly recommend for local families wanting to avoid the political and social turmoil of the public systems.

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.
