Tyler Run Elementary School

This school is not for common sense thinkers. The school keeps their high rating status at the cost of the children. The children are there to learn and experience new things, not to be turned into perfect little robots. I feel that most of the teachers are great but a few overstep their bounds. My child gets written up and has to send apology letters home for things so simple as taking another student's book during class (in fun) and not handing it back in a matter of seconds. The list goes on in the number and "low degree" of the offenses.

As of next month, three of our four children will have 'graduated' from this wonderful school. The teachers are excellent and so attentive to your child's specific needs. The principals are just as involved and don't settle for anything but the best for their students. The parent involvement is endless. The entire staff works very hard to create a comfortable, enthusiastic and fun environment for each and every student to maximize their learning in and actually enjoy school. I wish every child in America had the opportunity to attend such an amazing school.

Most teachers have been outstanding for my daughter (now in middle school) and my 3rd grade son. I am really concerned about the rapid turnover of staff at this building. Not the most warm/ fuzzy principal, but a freat

My oldest child began Kindergarten here and is now entering second grade. I found the teachers, staff and principals to be enthusiatic, caring and highly skilled. The chilsren's test scores are extremely high, the facility is outstanding and arts programs amazing. I would not move out of the Olentangy School District and furthermore, would not consider moving more than .5 mile from Tyler Run because we have been so happy with the teachers.
