its a fun exciting and provides a good education which is well thought out and well organized school
RRMS is a nice, relatively new school. The staff is great, we score high on tests, and we have a lot of extracurricular activites. However, no sports are available to sixth graders, and there is a lot of social discrimination between the students. Everyone knows who has money and who doesn't, and there is a lot of competition for popularity.
RRMS is okay. But hardly any middle schools are cool. The halls are kind of small and the lockers are atrociously so. There are a LOT of cliques, mainly composed of snobby rich kids. If your kid takes insults and slander seriously, I don't advise this school. Most of the teachers are cool, but the principal really doesn't make an effort to get to know any of the students unless their parents are active in school affairs. (e.g., on the PTA or something.)The education is pretty good overall, but gifted education is gone, so if you have an advanced child you might want to look elsewhere. On the bright side, there are some really nice kids and the food is good, and the facility itself is almost new. If you want your kid to experience typical middle school, send them to RRMS.
This school is realy nice to send your children to. The children here are very nice and polite. For some children there is a bullying problem but that is being correted by a great learning activity called Challenge Day. my son was new this year and he enjoys going to this school. Most of the teachers are nice and there is a very nice principal. The children are very nice and help eachother. There is a very good disipline system. The sports teams are not the best but are always fun to be on the teams and meet new people and make more friends.
There is a huge bullying problem at this school. It is addressed but it continutes to go on. If your child required any special assistance do not go to this school. Several families have removed their children due to bullying and lack of assistance. Follow through is minimal and students, teachers and principal will 'change facts' to 'save face'. The building and facilities are new, clean and wonderful.
This is clearly one of the best public middle schools in the state. I have two children who have been through this school and both loved it. All of the teachers are extremely knowledgable as well as supporting. There is a large amount of academic and extra-curricular activities. In addition, many advanced and special educatuon classes are offered. Rocky River Middle School, as a building, is very nice as well. This is an excellent school!
This school has the best teachers and education system in Ohio. The school was recently built in 2002, so it is very new. All the teachers are very polite and all the students in this middle school recieve good grades. There are also no bullies and a great challenge day program. Rocky River middle school also has the best SWC baseketball, wrestling, and volleyball team through-out the many competing schools. This school is such a gem!
