This school strives to have the students reach to the fullest potential that each child can meet. Thay include the parents and will explore every option that is available for the student. I would definitely recomment this school. It seems that they have the students best intrest at heart.
Youngstown Christian is a good place for spiritual growth, and most of the teachers care a lot about the students. However, there have been various disciplinary problems with different teachers. To be honest, the academics --while much better than the Youngstown City Schools -- are not very rigorous or stretching. I am afraid that I am not completely prepared for college. But I do know that they are trying to bring them up. No school is perfect.
Youngstown Christian has been a great inspiration for my child. He has been at Youngstown Christian since the 6th grade and he has been able to do well in academics as well as sports. Youngstown Christian has given my child the opportunity to excel in areas that have been a benefit to my child building character, pride, and love for all.
I think Y.C.S is great in education my daughter has been there since Kindergarten. Through grades K-4 she needed some additional help with speech and reading. She is now ready to graduate and she has been on High Honors since the 4th grade. Y.C.S has a wonderful staff that strives to reach each child to their best potential.
