We have two children at the school. One in Kindergarten and the one if 4th grade has attended since Kindergarten. Always amazed at how biblical teachings are intertwined with every single subject. All of the teachers have understood what it takes to motivate our oldest in yearning to learn. Love, love, love the teachers. Noted improvement in communication of upcoming events but need for improvement when staff changes or have personal issues that can or may affect the students.
The best move we ever made was transferring from another local private school to WCS! We now have 2 children here - K and 1st - and we couldn't be more pleased! The faculty and staff are so dedicated and caring and lead by example! The hold the students to the highest expectations and challenge them in every way to be their best. I can't imagine being at any other school!
After transferring from a local public school, it has been a breath of fresh air to see my child being led with love and concern. The subjects come alive from a christian perspective. They have great activites that keep the kids connected socially and keep them excited about school. The sports are geared for learning and fun, not competition. Wonderful Wonderful!
I am so thankful for this school and their care for my children on both an educational and emotional level. It is so nice to feel that they are learning and are so cared for at the same time. Love this school.
We have four children at WCS ranging from kindergarten through high school and could not be more pleased with the level of academics and the compassion of the teachers and staff. Our children enjoy school. There is no other school for our children!
This school provided excellant elementary education with the exception of a teacher conflict. Once we entered into the junior high and high school levels, however, the structure fell to pieces, revealing favoritism, dishonesty, and an overall lack of Christ-like attitudes. After removing our child we came to the realization that our expectations could be much higher as far as Christian thought and examples. Our high expectations have been met elsewhere.
We can not begin to express our gratitude to the Wesleyan Christian School teachers and staff for all they do for our children. We have 3 children attending in the junior high and elementary levels and we could not be more satisfied with the teachers and the love they have for our children. The education they are receiving is outstanding. They feel safe and at home and they love school. The variety of extracurricular activities allow my children choices according to their interests. We have not been a part of anything at this school that hasn't been outstanding.
I currently have 3 children at WCS. This truly is the best investment I'm making in my children's future. With outstanding teachers, strong academics, sports and extracurricular activities it's hard as a parent not to get excited about the impact this school has on my children as well as the community.
Our children are going to WCS and we could not be more pleased with the strong academics and Christian environment! We feel the teachers are the best we have found anywhere. The administrators not only care about their faculty but they care about each individual student and their families. We would not consider anywhere else. They truly want each student to reach their highest potential!
wcs has been a godsen to our family. we became disgusted with the public school system in Bartlesville, and with our daughter's grades dropping and her social skills reversing, we placed her in wcs her junior year. this school gave us back our child. she played on the state champion basketball team this year, is playing varsity softball, and brought home a 3.0 gpa first semester. the class of her wesleyan school friends is like night and day from the public high school. the cooperation, care and level of christian teaching at this school is tremendous. any parent who truly cares about the future of their child should visit this high school. i can't thank the wcs staff enough.
I have two children at WCS and couldn't be more pleased with whole school faculty. We have a wonderful administrator who has done worked extremely hard over the past 5 years to add extracurricular activities, add a high school and improve the academic programs. Thanks to our dedicated teachers, my children are straight A students because the teachers care and give them individual attention if that is what is needed. We have a great school board that gets things done and our parent involvement is terrific. I highly disagree with the 2 negative comments that have been made about WCS. In the 9 years that we have been involved in the school I have not seen any of those things displayed. WCS has a very dedicated and Godly faculty.
I have a junior and eighth grader attending WCS. This is their 5th year at the school. They are receiving a quality education from a Christian worldview from teachers who really care about them. They are involved in basketball, softball, track, volleyball, student council, and yearbook. WCS also offers a quality music, band, and art program.
I have six grandchildren and three great-nieces who attend WCS (two more coming up). I feel they are being prepared academically to pursue any future goal they may have. Just as importantly, they are being spiritually prepared to live according to God's word. The teachers at WCS are truly dedicated to their work and consider it their calling. The art, music, drama, and band teachers are outstanding and innovative. The school has competitive football and basketball teams. The physical education teachers and coaches conduct activities to promote physical fitness. Parent involvement is highly encouraged. I recommend WCS to any parent who wants their child educated in a Christian environment.
I love that my children are in an academically challenging, Christian environment; one where bible-based teaching provides them with a clear understanding of right from wrong. Class sizes are small to moderate with a strong and stable roster of teachers that take an interest in each child.
I used to go to Wesleyan Christian High School. Their teaching skills need improvement. The administration showed favoritism. The sarcasm started with the administration and trickled down to the student body. There was disorganization and many things we were told would happen never came about. There didn't appear to be any Christian ethics at work in the school. After transferring to another Christian school, the difference became even more apparent.
Our experience with WCS started out positive, although some of the high school academics were weak the environment was very positive and promoted Christian thought processing. Over the last year we saw a great deterioration of that positive environment and believe that it became detrimental to our child. We have moved from this school and have had no regrets.
Wesleyan now offers grades K-12. This has been a wonderful school for our child who in now in 7th grade. They teach a great phonics program that helps the children learn to read and spell well. This forms a sound basis for future learning. The school does an execellent job of teaching strong biblical principles combined with an advanced academic curriculum and extra-curricular activities to produce a strong, well rounded student.
