The person below insults parents who leave honest feed back, this leads me to think it is indeed a teacher that wrote the comment. The insults hurled usually are to the parents if the child does not perform to the "norm" - School is clean however SOME of the teachers ARE NOT welcoming! If your child is an A student and has no problems understanding then all is well at this school.

I have two sons at this school. It is fantastic. The quality of work my children do is excellent. Their teachers have always been very interested in their success and do an excellent job of communicating with us. The school is always clean and the staff present a positive attitude when they welcome my boys out of the car in the morning. Mr. Higdon the new Vice Principal is always there when I drop my kids off and when I pick them up. My only problem so far is the parents inability to follow directions in the morning/afternoon when dropping/picking their kids off/up. My guess is that the last review is from one of "those people." ;-)

Chisolm is a cozy, neighborhood school that encourages parent involvement. I love that all the teachers and staff know all of my children's name and even that they are all related to each other - it has a nice, friendly, safe 'vibe' and provides a wonderful education base.

While this school seems to be run well and has high test scores, the principal and most of the teachers are not welcoming. As a new parent to this school, I am sorely disappointed with the rapport between the kids and the principal. She doesn't acknowledge them as they walk by nor does she seems to know their name. Having been at several other schools, I know how important a relationship with the principal is and I find that those relationships are lacking here.

We hav been at Chisolm for two years now in Pre-K and K. We love it. The parents and teachers are very involved and the principal, Ms. Grahm is fantastic. They encourage extracurricular activities as well. My daughter plays the violin and both years they have asked her to play for the school assembly to promote music. We get frequent updates on what they are working on in class and a target sheet on what to work on at home. My daughter loves going to school and we have Chisolm to thank for that.

At Chisholm, parent involvement is huge, the PTO is great and the school is very parent friendly. We have an open classroom concept so all the classes are very structured and well organized! We have one of the best music teachers around and the most creative PE teachers you'll ever find. They put on magnificent programs with the kids. There are several National Board Certified Teachers. Our test scores are high.

We moved into the Edmond district from San Antonio, after the first 9 weeks. Our 3 (2 in grade 4 and 1 first grader) children weren't up for the move in the middle of the school year. After the first day, they all had smiles on their faces and said this was the best school they have attended. I believe the staff and teaches did a great job letting the students know they would be having new kids in class the next day. All classes welcomed the kids and made them feel right at home. I can't say enough about the welcome we have all received so far.

I think this is a very structured school and the teachers and other staff members are wonderful and helpful to both student and parents involved.
