It's funny how people have an opinion but they don't sign their name. THAT is what's wrong with our community. Everyone wants to squawk about something but always wants someone else to take a stand. You are cowards. If you can not stand up for YOUR children then what else is there to stand up for? Yes, The superintendent, in my opinion, does what he wants to regardless of what others think. But he has done his best to bring our sports program back to a winning program and I feel the education is slowly following. These kids practice hard and they deserve to win and to know how it feels to win. The test scores are going up. It is all coming together. It can't happen overnight but in time it will happen. ~Tracie Macy~

This school is in very bad shape. The EOI scores are not very good. One reason could be the amount of turnover in educators the school has. Just counting head coaches in the high school there have been, including the new ones for next year, 44 in the last 4 years. That is 44 teachers plus how ever many there are that don't coach. They already lost another principal who chose to go elsewhere. The high school principal they have now is good! Hopefully they don't run him off as well. The superintendant doesn't support any coaches or teachers. He just does what helps him out. The parents are into two groups: 1) fantastic who are great indeveloping good educational practies and 2) (the majority) those who don't care about anything except thier kids. They are very unsupportive of the teachers. If we could afford to move we would.

I feel this school is not about the kids. It lacks good leadership and guidance for the kids. It is weak in math and English. The sports program has too much politics in it. One thing this school does have is great involvement by the parents.

I feel the school has alot of room for improvement. Hennessey's schools suffer when it comes to the 2 most important subjects, English and Math. We lack in good teachers for these subjects. 7th and 8 graders have to share English books so they are not able to bring them home for homework. The school has had so many turn overs when it comes to teachers and principals. I have been very displeased in some of the decisions made with our schools. Seems they do not have the students interest at heart as much as they do how much money they can either make or save.

About the tests

In 2012-2013 Oklahoma used the Oklahoma Core Curriculum Tests End-of-Instruction (OCCT EOI) exams to test students in high school in several subjects. The OCCT EOI is a high school graduation requirement. The OCCT EOI exams are standards-based tests, which means they measure specific skills defined for each subject by the state of Oklahoma. The goal is for all students to score at or above the satisfactory level on the test.
