One of the best schools for academical and extracurricular activities. Proximity to OU helps. Highly dedicated teachers and principal.
I just think it is a place that provides a very loving environment for its students.
We left Norman in 2004, and aside from 2 incidents of recess bullying (in 5 years) and super deluxe fattening in-class snack time, McKinley was a great school for our young children. Many of the students were also young professor's kids, so the competencies and expectations were quite high, and the library was exceptional.
We are moving from McKinley and we are very sad. McKinley is a fabulous school. The parental involvement at the school is truly amazing. It makes a real difference! The teachers seem excited to be involved. And the principal and administrators are incredible.
