The principle has a horriblr attitude and i dont think she is right for this school. Surprising to see this is a 5 star school when its really should be a 2star. The kids 4th grader dnt have much or any feild trips or recess. The test scores could be alot better and the school is just plain boring Period. My cild begged me not to put him back there and i didnt have a problem with that since i cant stand that so called principle.
This is a really great school. My two oldest kids really like it here. The teachers are excellent and really believe in pushing the kids to the limit in learnng. Both of my children are straight a students.
My son attends Thelma R.Parks Elementary and he loves his teacher and has quickly develped a sense of school pride. The class sizes are small enough that he can receive special attention in areas, if necessary, while still having the opportunity to interact with a diverse group of classmates. The students go to Computer and Spanish classes twice a week. They also participate in a music class once a week. I have found the quality of their academic programs to be fantastic. There are a multitude of activities available for the children to participate in; and they are encouraged to do so. I would like to see an improvement in parent involvement within the PTA, but other than that, I am very satisfied and readily recommend this school.
