I have been involved with Rosary school for ten years, and cannot imagine being anywhere else. This is such a caring and supportive community, with an amazing academic environment for the students. I am so glad to have found Rosary!

Rosary is a close-knit community where the teachers and students are learning from each other. The principal cares a great deal about EVERY student, and is never too busy to meet with parents or teachers. The teachers are always adapting and adjusting their plans to meet the needs of their students. The school has definitely earned their blue ribbon status.

Rosary Catholic School is the only place I would choose for my children. The principal is caring yet holds high standards for the teachers and the students. You can tell the teachers love their jobs. The students are challenged everyday to do their best. My kids enjoy going to French, Music, Art, Computer, PE, and Library every week. I am very impressed with the academic challenges that my kids face every day!

The faculty in the middle school at Rosary have all been teaching there at least eight years. This has allowed the faculty to design a consistent, positive environment for the students. The faculty uses numerous resources to communicate with parents including weekly newsletters, grade updates every two weeks, and student planners. The faculty works closely with both Catholic high schools to make sure students leaving Rosary are well prepared for high school. All core subject teachers are products of Catholic education and have an indepth knowledge of what it takes to succeed both spiritually and academically.

Rosary School is a wonderful place! The teachers are extremely dedicated to seeing the children succeed! Morals and values are stressed every day and the standards are high. It is because of this that Rosary was named a Blue Ribbon School in 2009! The school is very much like a family as it is a small school. My children have thrived here and have so far gotten a wonderful education.

I am the proud parent of three children that attend Rosary Catholic School. My children have recieved an excellent education thus far. The faculty and staff are wonderful and caring people. The programs that they offer at Rosary are educational and fun!! Recently Rosary was named as one of the Nation's 2009 BLUE RIBBON SCHOOLS. This is a national award from the U.S. Department of Education and is given to those schools which are recognized as superior schools in the country. It is the highest honor and American school can achieve. Rosary School was chosen for high performance in academics and forthe special programs designed by the faculty and administration. I would highly recommend Rosary to any family that wants to expose their child to an excellent parochial education.

My child attended Rosary while I believe the k-5 program is excellent and would recommend it to any parent. The 6-8 program lacks a stable and consistant academic program. The children are expected to adapt to changing academic requirements, which leaves many of the children and parents stressed trying to keep up. Before you decide to enroll I would suggest you check out test scores and speak to parents who have endured until graduation. Otherwise the administrative staff and the k-5 program are the best.

Rosary School, I just recently graduated last week. The curriculum is very ambicious, to much i think for the teachers to handle. They are constantly changing the schedule which makes it very hard for the kids to adapt. The teachers put more effort into punishing the kids than actually making sure they learn the material nessicary to move on to the next stage. On the bright side, they have a caring principal who cares about the students. Now all they need is a new faculty.

My name is Juan Keefe, and I would like to assert that Rosary School has an extremely dedicated faculty. The standards for behaviour there are quite high, and the academic curriculum is very challenging. You will get a much better education there than you will in most of the public schools. Rosary school is also extremely safe, and I would recommend it. All of my aunts and uncles went there, as did my grandparents. My sister and I also attended it, too. It's not perfect, but it's not bad! :-)
Rosary School is truly one of the best experiences my children have had. Our students at Rosary come from many diverse backgrounds and our principal is one of the finest in her field. The students regularly score higher on the Iowa Basic Skills test than most other Catholic schools in the city. Our children also attend mass on a regular basis and are blessed to have a neighborhood of parishoners that care about the children's livlihood. You will not go wrong by choosing Rosary if you want your child to receive the finest CATHOLIC education there is to offer. Rosary is heads above other Catholic schools and consistently wins the Science Fair at the local Catholic High School. If you are looking for a place where your child will learn morals, value people and be exposed to God and his love, this is it. The faculty and staff is outstanding.

I love this school! My daughter is in pre-k and loves to go to school everyday. The teachers and staff are wonderful and really care about the children. If I have any questions it doesn't take forever to get a hold of someone. The school not only teaches education that each child needs for the future but also teaches the religious education that is lacking so much in public schools. This school really encourages all parents to get involved with their child's education, both religious and basic, by requiring attendance at church and voluntering at school. It really reminds you how important you are to your childs future. Great Job Rosary School!

About these ratings
The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.
We currently do not have any test score information for this school.
Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.
