Want to improve this school’s profile? You can!

All schools on GreatSchools begin with BASIC completeness, which includes important information like contact details and test scores. It’s up to the school community to take the next steps. As a parent or community member, you can share what you know with other families by writing a review or answering a few questions about what the school offers. As a school leader, you can upload photos, describe school programs, and more with an Official school profile.

The completeness meter moves to INTERMEDIATE, then ADVANCED, and finally HONOR ROLL as you complete the following: 10 or more reviews, at least 1 photo, and 9 program questions parents find helpful.

Unfortunately, aside from the wonderful curriculum, Eisenhower has a bullying problem that they consistently fail to address. Bullies are allowed to continue to harass other students without consequence. We are disappointed in this. Also, the parents are very involved, but possibly too involved. The children are denied an authentic educational experience when their parents "helicopter parent" their kids.

Eisenhower is academically an incredible school. The gift of foreign language to Eisenhower students is one to last a lifetime. The gift of global exposure at a young age opens minds for a lifetime, as well. EIS has an amazing parent body who help to make this school an enormous success. Tulsa Public Schools, as a district, would benefit from stepping up to the plate to provide the support that their top elementary school deserves.

I have three children at EIS and couldn't be happier! Aside from the obvious benefit of learning a second language in an immersion environment, Eisenhower has the added benefit of being a small, very close-knit community with a culture all its own. From Hispanic Festival for the Spanish students and Mardi Gras for the French students to on-site extracurricular activities like ever-popular chess club, Orf ensemble, Geography Club, Run Club, Typing Club, Art classes, Acting classes, etc - there's something for every interest at EIS. Kids are encouraged to explore global cultures and learn tolerance, acceptance and social responsibility through the diverse student body, opportunities to participate in international exchange programs and canned food/clothing/coin drives for charity. EIS supports provides a fantastic environment with caring, creative and skilled teachers, a principal who takes the time to know every student, parent and sibling and outstanding academics. There couldn't be a better environment for a kid to grow up and build his/her confidence.

They are teaching my grandchildren to speak French as well as enhancing their English skills. As a retired teacher, when I enter this building I see immediately, happy children, smiling teachers, a clean building, and lovely things displayed for all to see.

Eisenhower has been ranked the top school in the state, based on a variety of criteria. The needs of the children come first and everyone strives for excellence. No school is perfect, but EIS comes pretty darn close.

The public Spanish/French emersion program is better than any program being offered in the Private Sector. Most teachers are mult-lingual and are passionate about culture. The PTA participation is 100%, and because the children go from Kindergarten to 5th grade with the same 29 other children. It harbors a great tight-nit community.

EIS, a language immersion school, offers both Spanish and French immersion cirriculum for the K through 5th graders - all three of our kids are excelling because of the dedication of the teachers as well as the diversity of the educational program. Wish I'd had half the opportunities growing up that my kids have had so far at EIS!

As a former teacher, Eisenhower is the best school I have seen. I am shocked by a previous nagative comment about the principal. She is incredibly hard working, firm yet loving with the children, and her staff loves her. Perhaps that person has a child with behavior problems. All of the staff work so hard and are passionate about what is best for kids. That is the forefront of the entire school. For these students to be bilingual and score exceptionally on the state test is a huge success in itself. My kids are so fortunate!

My son has attended EIS for two years. I enrolled him in this school because he is more advanced than the other children his age and I thought it would be a great challenge for him. I have spent MANY years trying and continually trying to find a better school for a more difficult challenge and so far have failed to do so. The teachers are more than wonderful, the parents are VERY involved. It has been a great experience so far and I hope it continues.

EIS is great. My daughter is in the 2nd grade spanish class. The kids stay together from kinder-5th grade so they don't have to worry about getting to know new kids each year. The teachers are wonderful. They make leaning a second language a breeze. The PTA is all action. Raising money for things our district can't provide like a new playground, computers, and other equipment our kids need.

Eisenhower is a wonderful school. The teachers are caring, they are very knowledgeable about their subject matter and everybody knows eache kids name. My daughter has been going since kindergarten and has loved it. There is a real senese of community and the kids thrive. Being an immersion school, there is a great exposure to French or Spanish, but there are also challenging music, Pe and art classes.

The ability to have my children immersed in a foreign language has been wonderful. Their ability to learn and understand different cultures as well as participate in a exchange program in the 5th grade is a unique opportunity. Most of the teachers are very good, however, when problems do arise including serious ones, it has been difficult to get the principal to respond appropriately.

I've got a 1st grader at EIS and I feel grateful that this school is there to challenge my child. My child is interested in his foreign language learnings, his frequent use of the school library, the staff, etc. Being that he is with these people for a significant portion of his day, I am glad that we chose EIS over other schools. High spirited staff always works to include all children in activities. I've seen how some children are taught in over-populated schools, and I appreciate the individual attention my child receives! As for parental help and support, I feel that it is there, if needed. Reduced price or free lunches, help providing uniforms if cost is an issue, etc.

I have a 5th grader in Eisenhower. I love the foreign language aspect of the school, but that is the ONLY reason my child attends. The principal and office staff is uncaring and uninterested in helping parents or students in any way. Of course, they expect lots of parental support and money flowing in though. It is a complete one way street. Unfortunatly, they have not had any competition until now. I think language immersion should remain a priority for TPS and other school districts. For someone interested in language immersion, see if Zarrow (formerly Audobon) has a different principal than EIS. Hopefully, the competition will eventually improve relations at EIS.
