I have 2 kids, one graduated from Metro last year and one is in HS. I wouldn't changed our experience at Metro for anything. It is truly a community. The classes are small. The teachers care about the students. It is one big family.

I was a student at Metro from 1994-2002. I have nothing but fond memories of this school and it's staff. It's such a great size, not too big, not too small. Growing up with great Christan values helped shape me into who I am today. My husband and I met here and hope to be fortunate enough to send our future children here someday!

I have three children at metro and the one thing I love most is the sense of community. This isn't just a school but a family. We take care of each other. The staff truly cares about each and every student and they communicate very well with parents.

I am a high school teacher at Metro Christian Academy. I am also a parent of two students who have attended Metro since they were three years old. I have taught in the public school system for nine years and have been at Metro for 14 years. No school is perfect and every school has its challenges. However, Metro strives to accomplish what no other school in Tulsa has. It has maintained a small class size throughout all grade levels (K-12), it offers Advanced Placement and honors level coursework, It also has a Diagnostic Instruction Center for those students who need additional assistance in a particular area, it has an amazing fine arts program where many students win countless awards, and the varied sports program offered here allows most students to be able to actually participate with excellence. All of this is done in a nurturing, Christian environment. That being said, Christians are still human and will always make mistakes. Therefore, any negative rating given will show that expected imperfection. Metro is a wonderful school but obviously not all families or individual students will necessarily find their niche here or their experience to be the same as others.

My school is Metro Christian Academy. I have been a teacher at MCA for 15 years. It is a very strong academic school but it also works to meet the needs of those who might need extra help so that they can achieve educationally. MCA has a family environment where families meet the needs of other families . MCA has a strong athletic program. The goal of the coaches is to help each child develop the skills that God has given them. MCA is a great place to teach and be a student.

Metro is a wonderful school with great academics. All 3 of my kids went there and I am hopeful that when I have grandkids they will be fortunate to go there as well. Metro changed leadership last year (Headmaster) and it has been a welcome improvement. Changes have been made for the better and I would highly recommend Metro for all ages. We were very pleased with the academics as well as the Christian experience here.

Metro Christian Academy is an excellent college-preparatory school within a wonderful, caring, Christian environment. The elementary school is a great balance of strong academics with fun activities and events. The administration and teachers are professional and work very hard to make it a well-rounded educational experience. Metro is such a blessing to our family.

Last year, we moved our Sophomore and 8th grader to Metro from a local 6A school district. We have seen them FLOURISH! We fast felt part of the Metro family, and could not be more pleased. It is amazing to see how nurturing teachers can be when they have small class sizes and good leadership. Diversity is embraced, while encouraging solid Christian principles. I'm trying to think of a negative to make sure this review is fair, and not one thing comes to mind. Our only regret is that we did not make the move sooner.

As a parent of two Metro graduates who were truly equipped for college and careers beyond, I can say we were extremely blessed in moving to Metro for the later years of our sons' education. Metro not only prepares students academically (we made use of many AP course offerings), but spiritually as well. The school's faculty and administration is geniunely concerned for the "whole person" and takes steps to KNOW the students and families. We have never regretted our time at Metro Christian Academy. I would truly say that Metro is a great value!

I am a high school student currently at Metro. I have been her for the last 10 years of my life and I like it a lot. My favorite thing is that the classes are small. You get more one-on-one time with the teach if you need it. The classes are challenging but I guess that's to prepare us for college. We have chapel once a week. About 9/10 times it's fantastic. I encourage you to send your child to Metro; it's helped me academically and with my relationship with the Lord.

Metro Christian Academy has been a fantastic experience for our daughter and us as parents. Previously we had only been in public schools. Our daughter has attended Metro Elementary for grades 3,4 and 5. I would say the best thing that I noticed is the parents of the Metro students, all that I have met are very committed to the success of their of their children and support the Metro faculty and staff rather than complain or try to tear them down. The difference in the atmosphere and care that we have experienced at Metro compared to the previous public school we attended, would be like comparing the treatment you would expect to receive at a country club where the staff personally knows you and are glad to see you, to that of a tag office or post office where they just don't really care and don't care if they see you again. Metro's sports teams are always strong competitors finishing in the top of their categories. The art program is amazing, I didn't know kids could produce that quality of work. Overall, Metro has exceeded our expectations. The only one negative thing that I have observed is that a few parents and kids have kind of a snooty, arrogant rich kid attitude.

I would highly recommend Metro Christian to those seeking a private, Christian education for their student. Metro provides an enthusiastic environment valuing Christ, academia, community, and our great nation. Students and parents alike are encouraged to follow and grow in their Christian faith through the various programs, ministries, and activities supported at the school. Metro Christian students are challenged to become future leaders through academics, athletics, and personal and spiritual growth.

We have had kids in elementary for the past two years. The school (teachers, administration, academics and spiritual life) has exceeded our expectations! I would highly recommend Metro to anyone looking for small class sizes, challenging individualized academics and a Christian environment. The parents are also wonderful and definitely represent the Christ-like characteristics we are looking for as examples for our children.

Metro Christian Academy provides a passionate community atmosphere where students and parents can follow their Christian faith and celebrate their patriotism of our great country. Students are challenged academically, athletically, and personally to become future leaders characterized by high integrity. As a parent, I highly recommend Metro to those that value Christ, country, and community.

I have 3 children at Metro and feel blessed everyday they get to go to school there. They have learned so much not only academically, but spiritually as well. It is big enough to be able to offer a lot of options for them as they move up but small enough that you can develop a real closeness with your child's grade. This year we have a new Headmaster and he is doing so many wonderful things for the school. I am impressed with the direction he wants to take Metro. If you are on the fence about coming to Metro I would encourage you to take the step. It has been challenging financially for us as a family, but well worth it. Watching my kids confidence grow and the one on one attention they are able to get from the small class size is invaluable.

I have been a parent at Metro Christian Academy for 18 years. I have seen people come and go, but one thing stays the same: its a Chrsit centered school that cares so deeply about their students. The sense of community is incredible. The love and care from the teachers for my children is beyond what I could ever ask for as a parent. We are blessed to be a part of this incredible school. The tuition is not a payment, its an investmet in our children's lives that will stay with them forever.

Attending Metro was the biggest blessing that the Lord has ever given me. He found me when I was a student here and placed me with teachers and mentors that have shaped me into the woman of the Lord I am today. Metro prepared me to excel in college and beyond. I urge you to prayerfully consider Metro as the place to sharpen your student both in top level education and in Biblical truth.

I attended Metro for high school and have mixed feelings about the school. They claim to be "interdenominational," but it seems most teachers and administrators are somehow affiliated with Oral Roberts (hardly an Ivy League school) and everything faith-related seems to have a fundamentalist Christian slant to it. This doesn't seem 'interdenominational' to me, because theologically there are numerous 'mainstream' Christian denominations that would disagree with many of the 'Oral Roberts-type' beliefs. That being said, Metro did have some good AP courses and smart kids. What surprised me is that you'd think after spending so much on tuition, kids would be attending top tier universities around the country, but it seems like over 60 percent of my class went straight to OSU, and some people even failed out of that school. You can get into OSU from pretty much any high school in Tulsa, so that really wasn't impressive when other private schools in the area seemed to be pushing kids to attend the best schools. Why shouldn't you if you invested in a good education? If I were choosing a high school, I wish I would have gone to Bishop Kelley or Cascia - Christian but not fanatical.

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.
