Wapanucka Elementary School

Wapanucka Schools have a hometown vibe; informal; friendly; the place alumni want to come home to. The pre-K HeadStart program, especially the new-this-year 3 year old program has beaten our expectations & working wonders with our granddaughter, who is attending Wapanucka Schools in the footsteps of her Papa, Dad, Siblings, & Uncles. Most of the staff are approachable; easy to talk with. Playground equipment, new gym, safe room/library & bus service to name a few, are top of the line.

The elementary school is definitely the best in the area. The students like coming to school to learn because they know their teachers and principal, Mr. Van care about them. The students are doing well in school because their teachers are willing to go the extra mile to help them learn. The school also has been working hard to provide new facilities such as a library-saferoom, gym, and baseball field.

Our school is one of the best in the county. My child has attended Wapanucka for 3 years. I am very pleased with her progress. If your child has difficulty in a class, the teachers are not afaid to address the issues and provide help as needed. The school offers a lot of different classes. Art, music, etc. They have a new saferoom/libary, large computer lab, and have just built a new gym. The main thing that impresses me with the school is they place classwork over sports.
