Gold Beach High sets high academic standards for its students. Currently the school requires 26.5 credits for graduation. If you meet the graduation requirements for GBHS you will meet the entrance academic core for any 4 year college in Oregon. SAT scores and standard test scores are some of the best in the state. The school has consistently good football, volleyball and basketball programs. Most students are actively engaged in service to the community. The school has a generous scholarship programs for graduates and post graduates. Despite lots to be proud of, morale among the students and staff is not as good as it should be. The school offers band, choir, art, sculpture, wood&metal shops, honors and/or college level courses, spanish, math through Calculus,a strong science curriculum which can be supplemented through Curry Science Academy, which sends student to international science fairs nearly every year.
