Our daughter has enjoyed her two years at Brown. Yes, there is not alot of parent involvement, but what can you expect from a two-year school? Don't fault the parents as we aren't all out buying our "new SUV's". Most are working hard so that our child has a good school and that we can pay our taxes. Great staff, great principal and fantastic student support, They do a really nice job and we have no issues whatsoever over the past two year. Great school!

Teachers and staff at Brown are dedicated hard working and interested in the kids. However parent involvemnet is deplorable. Out of over 400 students, parent meetings are attended by 6-8 parents the same ones who volunteer for the school almost all are working parents) Parents at plays and open house are unfriendly and uninterested in the school or other students. Students wander around after school with wifi and cells flaunting lewd behavior and bullying. Parent are busy working extra to buy the next big SUV and have little idea what their kid is doing (I have asked). Then they get angry w teacher when student has poor grade for not working. It takes teamwork w teachers -these people do not want or have it. Though these are middle school problems everywhere -the problem is outrageous at Brown. My son will go charter next year.

I too think Brown is just a fair school. Although Brown does a good job of focusing on Arts an extracurricular activities. All in all, I too will be sending my child out of district because of the poor teachers and test scores.

I think brown is a great school for middle schoolers. This school focuses on all areas of academics like a school should. This middle school has the highest overal TESA(state testing) scores in the distric. I am proud that my son is a panther and I recomend this school.

Has some good teachers at Brown Jr high and some real bad teachers. Can get no support from staff. And class room are crowed more than 21 that this site says. My daughter will be enrooling in private school next year because of these reasons.

I think this school focuses to much on the Hispanic community, and not enough on the general population of the school.
