This is the last place to send your child. Lots of drama and harassment. they will suspend one for saying something but if they shove or hit nothing is done.

A small town school in a fast growing community. It has been around for over a 100 years and is part of Oregons culture. JFK came here to speak in his first campaign. They have a wide varidty of subjuects from the reading, writing and math to daycare school, computer, farming, and cooking chools to name z few.

I have a freshman attending MHS. It is absolutely amazing to see a kid excited to go to school. I can't believe all the programs they have available here. Culinary, Nursing. Computer Programing...real courses that will help you get a real job upon graduation. I am extremely impressed with MHS.

I graduated from this high school in 2001, and have been blessed to watch it blossom into a high school that I am proud to be from. The teachers set the tone of a wonderful learning environment, to help enrich the lives of there students.

Milwaukie High School is getting a larger amount of students enrolled each year, so the class sizes are getting bigger. Eventhough their are more kids in the classrooms, the teachers have really disiplined themselves to overcome this obstacle and has really made an effort to help each individual child, because each individual child is different and has different needs. The programs at MHS have really come along in the past couple of years. Some new programs are still being added, like the art classes, after school study halls, plays (drama) and whatnot. Their are so many different classes at our school that other schools don't have, so they come to milwaukie to get in on all the fun!

About the tests

In 2009-2010 Oregon used the Oregon Assessment of Knowledge and Skills (OAKS) to test students in grades 3 through 8 and 10 in reading and math; in grades 4, 7 and 10 in writing; and in grades 5, 8 and 10 in science. The OAKS is a standards-based test, which means it measures how well students are mastering specific skills defined for each grade by the state of Oregon. The goal is for all students to score at or above the state standard.
