Unfortunately the majority of my families experience with this school is unfavorable. Our family feels that there should be more time spent supervising the students and upholding the no bullying/harassment policies on the part of the staff and parent volunteers. Like wise the principle needs to take on a more proactive leadership role in addressing these types of issues with parents, students and teachers. Our family members feel that school should be a place where students have an equal opportunity to learn and should not be scrutinized for coming forth with an issue if one should arrise. This should be implemented in all grades, especially the beginning years (K, 1st, 2nd etc.)
Yolanda has excellent teachers, staff and principal, who really care about students and their families. The quality of education provided is the best and parents are welcomed into the school and classrooms. The PTO is very active and supportive. It is a gem of a school!
PTA is very active and involved. Lots of school activities funded by PTA. Teachers are excellent and principal good too. Lots of good students, but plenty of help for those with trouble.
