I have tried over a shool years time to work with the staff and administration to try to get academic help and assistance to understand her state test scores. I was treated as if I were a child, and basically ignored and never contacted again. They do not take time with parent conerns and requests for help for their kids. My daughter drew and colored pictures for class projects in a standared sophmore English class, and was passed with grades she did not desrve or work for in other classes. Very low standards for academics. Good luck to new parents-

Wilsonville High School is a great high school with a wonderful academic enviroment. The staff works hard to provide a positive learning enviroment for all students. Athletics, music and drama as well as the arts are among the top in the state.

This school in great for academics. The teachers are always willing to help a student as needed. They will even go out of their way to make sure all kids are ready for tests.

My daughter is an IEP & TAG student. Although she has not yet been successful, Wilsonville HS has worked very hard to accomodate her needs. She now attends a day treatment school in Tigard, but I hope she will come back to Wilsonville and attend their new charter school which emphasizes art & technology.

About the tests

In 2009-2010 Oregon used the Oregon Assessment of Knowledge and Skills (OAKS) to test students in grades 3 through 8 and 10 in reading and math; in grades 4, 7 and 10 in writing; and in grades 5, 8 and 10 in science. The OAKS is a standards-based test, which means it measures how well students are mastering specific skills defined for each grade by the state of Oregon. The goal is for all students to score at or above the state standard.
