Profile Completeness

BASIC

Want to improve this school’s profile? You can!

All schools on GreatSchools begin with BASIC completeness, which includes important information like contact details and test scores. It’s up to the school community to take the next steps. As a parent or community member, you can share what you know with other families by writing a review or answering a few questions about what the school offers. As a school leader, you can upload photos, describe school programs, and more with an Official school profile.

The completeness meter moves to INTERMEDIATE, then ADVANCED, and finally HONOR ROLL as you complete the following: 10 or more reviews, at least 1 photo, and 9 program questions parents find helpful.

My two children attend Cardale Elementary in Brownsville School District and I am very disappointed. I have to sent them to a private school that I can barely afford due to the inadequate teaching done at this school. Brownsville School District is focused only on Reading, Math , and PSSA scores. This is where they get their money for funding. The children suffer. The teachers need to interact more with the students and maybe need more education themselves to teach effectively. What a shame. I think that I speak for the majority of the middle-class population that sends their children to Brownsville Schools and that care about their children. We need the goverment to step in and fix the problem which is under-educated and overpayed teachers.

I can relate to what you are saying. My child did not meet the principal until half way throught the school year. The teachers do not interact with the kids. They are learning what some kids are taught in preschool. The school district is a joke.

My 2 children had alot of difficulties while attending this school.I dont belive the teachers they both had were adaquate teachers,my son's teacher did not work with him on a one to one basis. my son also did not know who his pricipal was after a month of attending, thats how well she conducted her self by introduction to the k class we moved to get out of the brownsville school district. My children and I are extremely happy with there new school.
