Wonderful and supportive learning environment. Not all of the bells and whistles of the public schools but good solid academic and sports programs. caring teachers and support staff. Highly recommend a tour before you form an opinion. The genuine caring will show itself!

My child went there for Kindergarten. I was told this school was so great but I found out after that he was not in a structured environment. I also was an involved parent but they didn't seem to care what we would say. Security was horrible and they don't even lock their doors, that was a great concern for me and so was the way they discipline.

Excellent academic programs. Music theory, art, basketball, baseball, soccer. Senior class mission trips supported by families and class. High level of parent involvement. Access to teachers via e-mail daily if necessary or easy to schedule a visit. Students' appearances always neat and atmosphere in general at school is very friendly.

Shalom is an excellant school academically and spiritually. The cost is a little high, but seems to be worth it. (There is tuition assistance available, if needed.) My daughter attended there, went to public school 2 years and asked to return.

In an age where the public schools are becoming increasingly liberal in their approach to education, Shalom is a breath of fresh air. The school aims not only at academic excellence but also reinforces the values parents strive to instill in their children rather than undermining them. Furthermore, Shalom is a parent run school and is fiscally very responsible. This in turn reduces the financial burden of tuition fees on parents. I am very happy with Shalom Christian Academy and recommend it highly to other parents.

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.
