Personally I feel that Chambersburg has to do something with how the students are taught at the high school level. My sister goes there and she is not doing all that well the teachers and guidance counselors are not trying to work with her to see what the problem is and how to resolve the issues she is having. Hopefully, there are some others who are also concerned about how the district is going to remedy the situations that are at the high school at this moment.

CASHS is a school that need to straighten their priorities. Recently introduced to a new dress code many students do not care and pay attention, but only a few people are punished and if they are going to set these rules they need to support these rules and punish everyone.

Franklin County Career & Technology Center offers students a hands on approach to learning. My concern is that when a student is disruptive it takes several days for the school to contact the parent. I have even called and waited several days before I receive an answer.

CASHs offers students the opportunity for a fine education. While the administration doesnt put emphasis on the importance of honors and a.p. classes they readily avalible to challenge students of all intelligence. Teachers of these level of courses are quality teachers who not only teach but provide an overall relaxing and benificial environment. Teachers are more than willing to provide one on one help when needed. The administation focuses too strongly on helping below-average students and gives less attention to the needs of cp/ap students. Overall CASHs provides a plethra of opportunities, whether it be in achedemics or athletics, as long as the interest and dedication is present. Their is little parental involvment and the building is quite old. Also, the new pricipal (03-04) seems to feel the need to create unnessasary rules to control problem children and punish students who are in fact academically minded and interested in learning.
