As a parent of both a 7th and 8th grader at this school I must say both my children and myself are very happy with the teachers and education. We moved from a much larger district when my 8th grader was entering 6th due to the teachers lack of interest, here we have felt that each teacher is here because this is what they want to do and they take pride in doing so. I would highly recommend NMS. A small school (about 700 students) with big pride.

The Northern Middle School has been a great experience for our 8th grader. All of his teachers have been helpful and supportive. The teachers respond quickly to emails. Any problems have been dealt with in a timely manner.

This school is beautiful. Most teachers are very rude, mean and have too many rules. They treat the students like they are in prison and do not try to help you check up if you missed a few days of school. They also do not help you if you have learning problems. The worst part is trying to make friends, there is not very many helpful, happy people that would even try to make friends if your new. I hate it!

Frankly, I cannot belive the inadequacy of this school program. I speek for both myself and my parents when I say that by far this has been the worst educational experience I have ever known. The only redeeming factors for this school are the excellence of the band and orchestra program, and the involvment offerd to the parents. I would caution everyone against living in this school district.
