I am a former student and after my experience I would never send my child or recommended anyone to send theirs. I struggled with a learning disability that went unnoticed, they pushed it off as I was lazy and dumb. It wasn't until my sophomore year of public high school that something was done about it. I was always severely bullied and refused to go to school because girls were following me on my way home. The school did absolutely nothing about this either. My family made just as much money or more than the other families yet the children's parents raised them to believe they were better than everyone. STAY FAR AWAY.

Both of our children attend St. Mary of Mount Carmel and we have had a wonderful experience. We find the academics to be challenging and small class sizes allow them both to receive individualized attention. The faculty has always been supportive whenever we had any questions. The true testament to the academics of the school is the success of the St. Mary's graduates who have gone on to be top performers in their high school classes. St. Mary's offers a caring environment and is very welcoming of parental involvement. There are many opportunities for parents to get involved both in their child's academic formation and extra curricular activities. We have been part of school for 10 year's now -from Pre-K on up and we strongly recommend the school.

This is not a good school at all! Not only are the academics weak, but the safety is, too. My son was left behind at the YMCA, a gym and swim program he had to partake in during school hours because of the lack of a gym at the school. The principal and staff never called me and told the Y to send him back with anyone! Are you kidding me?! I was also very disappointed with the lack of help they showed my other son, while another parent of a child in my son's class was able to get help. There has also been a very big bullying issue at the school. The school has lost so many kids in the last few years, I'd stay far away!

My 2 children attended St. Mary's from K-8. They have each excelled academically in high school and have an inner drive to be the best. The friendships developed while at St. Mary's are strong and life-long. When the classes get together, its like they have come home. St. Nary's is an excellent school that fosters academic, social, and spiritual growth. A finer education cannot be found.

St. Mary's is an excellent school with so much to offer. The teachers are amazing and so helpful.

Teachers are incompetant and uncaring! They do not have the funding to give any additional help if it is needed. I regret having sent my child to this school. He cried every day and was lagging behind until we moved him to a new school.

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.
