I am a student at east high school also in the honors academy. before you send your student to east you should no a few things. on average a week there is at least 10 fights that are very violent. The teachers do not know how to control the students so by trying to control them they discipline everyone else. even though we are disciplined things continue to remain the same. the honors classes are ok but alot of the students that graduate from here struggle with there classes in college because of lack of motivation. anyone can graduate with 3.0 easy because the classes are not very challenging. as a students perspective i believe east high school is not the best choice for child. also alot of teachers are rude and will purposely try to get ur child in trouble by provoking them.

I am a student at East Highschool. I'm inrooled in the East Honor's program. To me east is a disciplinary, well educated facility. I'm not just saying that because I'm in the honors academy, but because i attend East highschool so i have my own set of eyes to see and hear everything thats goin on in the school. Every high school goes through there ups and downs, but East has prove to the citizens of Erie ,PA to overcome the negative times and have an positive outcome. To my family and I East has been a positvie choice and I am proud to be a student at East Highschool GO WARRIORS!

My son is a freshman at East this year. He has gone to a private school since 2nd grade. My daughter graduated from East 3 years ago and I have to say the school is better now as far as the atmosphere and discipline. I hope my next review is positive for my son, he is in the honors academy but I have no feedback yet, but he does have is own book for each class! It's about time, Mr Barker.

My children, a junior and a senior at East High School have been there since 9th grade. I do not like East. They can't keep proper attendance. My kids report cards show them missing days when in fact the school received a fax informing them of doctor appts from myself. My son is a senior and is not in any classes he should have or requested. My daughter a junior has everyone she asked for. I have informed them of this matter. Day 5 of school he is still not in the right classes. Both children are in the honors academy. I requested progress reports regarding my son last year from his teachers and yet i still have none. I could not afford the high school that I attended, MPS. So I looked into the honor program they were starting as my son was a freshman from East High.

My daughter is a junior at East High School. Our taxes are paying for them to watch movies and listen to garbage music. The students have no respect for the teachers. The teachers don't even know the subject they are teaching. I really think they could do a lot better.

As a parent of a freshman at East high school and having another child graduate from a different high school I can say that is is functioning below standard. When you go to parent teacher conference and are told that there are not enough books for all the students and this is a so called honors class? Also another teacher states that he can not adequately teach due to numerous disruptions again this is a honors class? The district switched from block scheduling to 7 classes a day. There are 'support classes' for the major classes. Why would you not spend more then 50 mins teaching honors classes? We had great hopes as this school had a new building but I guess this shows that the newness of the building doesn't mean anything.
