I have two children in this district and could not be happier with the education and opportunities they are receiving. For a small school A-C Valley is doing a BIG job of meeting our kids needs! Class sizes are just right, allowing my kids to be more than just a face in the crowd. Their teachers really get to know them and care about them.

AC Valley Elementary uses the Saxon math series, which I believe has had a wonderful impact on my children's knowledge of math applications and concepts. This program has ensured that my children do well on the state testing, but more importantly that they have a deep, working understanding of mathematical concepts.

This school has some wonderful teachers. However, there are teachers in the district who have not been hired based on their qualifications, but on their connections. When it comes to hiring in this district, it is not what you know, it is who you know. Unfortunately, the ones who suffer are the students as they have lost the opportunity to work with highly qualified teachers. Many parents in this district have much to complain about, yet there is a general fear to do so as many students have suffered intimidation from administration due to their parent's outcries. The school itself is a beautiful building, but the focus has been drawn away from what can be done for the students inside the building to how it all appear on the outside.

My 9th grade child, is failing algebra, she has never failed a class in her school years. She is a honor student. I come to find out, most of the class is also failing. Shouldn't that be a wake up call to the teacher!
