This Middle School is very low standard. The drug problem is rampant in this school and the bullying is not dealt with at all. They praise that they are a no bullying district but when the situation arises not one single thing is done. There are no expectations from the district for these kids to go any further than a high school education. They are more concerned about their federal funding then they are about the out of control issues at hand. The children have taken over the schools and rule them. Another major problem is the fact that the parents have no involvment and could care less what is happening in this district. They ignore the issues just as much as the district. It is sad that the drugs and bullies have taken over this district.
Regardless of what others say, Im a current student here and i absoutally love it. The student population is low so It's not crowded and I can get from class to class easily. The teachers try to connect with us the best they can. I talk to my favorite teacher (art) everyday. I wasn't the most artistic but she showed examples of the artists paintings and informed us about them. It made the class so much easier than before the other teacher quit. I think Bethlehem Center Middle School is great. I look forward to going to school everyday because it is a very positive learning enviroment. I'd rather stay here then go to the highschool. -8th grader
This middle school needs much to be desired. The teachers need to develope a more positive influence with the students and give every individual student, not just a select few, the attention they deserve and need. My son attended this school and was doing well academically but not thriving emotionally. I felt the urgent need to find alternative schooling. He now attends a neighboring public school district and is doing a hundred times better and is much happier. I agree with the parent that said these teachers need their attitudes adjusted. Wow! Also, bullying in this school district is a major problem and is not dealt with constructively or effectively.
The principal, the office staff, nurse, guidance office staff, and the majority of the teachers are outstanding and try to reach the children. A select few of the teachers, may be good teachers, but, they need to adjust their attitudes!
