Friendship Elementary School

My grandson attends Friendship elementary and I attend all functions for grandparents. I also volunteer. My impression of this school continues to demonstrate excellence in the selection of teachers and their ability to teach. I have been so impressed since the first time I attended a function.

The principal, counselor, teachers and staff have worked hard to learn about my child. They reach him on a personal level and he is only in kindergarten. They are active and passionate about what they do. So much so that they seem to effortlessly get the parents involved. I am in awe at the teamwork, the facilities and the resources available to the children and staff. Yeah, friendship! (not to mention, what an appropriate name for an elementary school when social skills are being developed).

I attended this school in the early 1980's and my son attends this school now. Throughout the years the school has remained consistent with friendly admin & teaching staff, friendly learning environment, special attention to those with special needs, and a family like feeling every time you visit. The facilities are always clean and well maintained and my son loves the lunches. The principal and staff are very supportive of the children, you can tell they are there to lift the students up regardless of the situation. The faculty and staff are very supportive. They have gone that extra mile for my son's since moving to the area in 1998. They have helped not just my children but me as well, always there to talk with, to lean on when times are hard. They wear their hearts on their sleves. We as parents are truly blessed.
